Look for a parasitic draw. There are plenty of videos on youtube for the method (usually on cars but the principal is the same). You will need a digital multimeter and some patience but you should be able to narrow it down to one circuit and go from there. HTH.

SOURCE: what size axle on a 2002 flhtcui

I'm pretty sure that the axle diameter on your bike is one inch as compared to 3/4" on earlier models.

Can I ask if you have checked the speaker? This sounds like a bad speaker on the bike, not a circuit issue. When these speakers go bad that is what they do, they cut out and crackle real bad. To remove the speaker, simply unscrew the retaining ring and it it comes straight out of the arm rest. I have had to change several on my bike which is the same year and make as yours so I really suspect the speaker. I replaced them with the HD heavy duty speakers, not the premium sound ones but the heavier than stock models and have had no more issues with them.

I have just changed the alternator on my 2002 BMW 316i 1.8 and its still not putting power back to battery, the car just coughs after two mile and dies. It wont start, any ideas if not the alternator

Most likely you have either a bad relay, or a short circuit. My 1998 had a relay someone had put in that was the wrong relay such that it caused a current drain. Use amp meter between battery ground cable (disconnected from battery) and battery ground post to see how much drain exists, then pull relays one at a time to see if one stops the drain. If not, do the same with fuses to find the bad circuit and fix drain.

2002 chevy impala battery constanly drains i replaced ignition switch and relay any solutions

Assuming the battery does not have a dead cell, a mechanic would disconnect the battery and check every circuit on the car for a voltage drain. It could be anything from a short inside the alternator to a light left on to a short in the wiring.

1989 chevrolet caprice alternator draining battery, and wont start. We replaced the alternator, feul pump, battery, & starter.

There is a circuit staying open that is draining the battery. Chances are it is the ignition switch or the starter relay. Most likely it's the ignition switch. If it stays open the starter circuit continues to draw power even though the car is off. It's under the dashboard above the gas pedal. Someone should be able to test it with a circuit tester to see if it's the problem. Good luck!

Fuel injector relay drains battery

HI. it will be necessary to replace this relay. asap. The relay is suffering from circuit damage. This type of damage will not allow the relay to completely open, thus, causing the battery to drain, when the ignition is in the off position.
