Question about i-mate JAM Pocket PC

I-mate jam Hi, My i-mate jam turn off suddenly and if turned on had to reload the software. I sent it to maintenance and got the back-up battery changed. Do you have any idea what would be the problem? Many thanks! Linda

    an erro code occur always appear on my screen.how can i get rid of this?

HARD RESET PROCEDURE
hold down the power button and push the reset. You don't have to use a paper clip if you've styles fits, but don't use anything sharp, such as a safety pin. This should return your PDA to the way it came from the box.
before that backup ur all data

Try to do a soft reset of your Imate. turn off your device and remove the battery, then turn it on again. Try to browse your device and see what wll be the error again.

you cannot charge the i-mate unless you have it turned on
another way which worked for me is to buy a battery dock or a seperate
battery charger

My i -mate k-jam restart suddendly, even if have full charge, specially when have a phone call, i made a hard reset and follow the trouble....help
hi thanks for using fixya!

If you have already made a hard reset and still you are still experiencing the same problem. I suggest that you remove the battery and install it back again. Then turn on the power, then try to call someone. But if still the same, I suggest that you should bring your pda to a service center to further check the error.

How many years now is your I-mate? Normally, we need to change batteries every 1 year, especially if we are using much of our PDA. I suggest that you should change for a new battery, but if the problem still comes, better check with your tech guy to see software and hardware status.

My i-mate k-jam IS NOT TURNING ON!!!
take your imate kjam battery out, then get 3 aaa battery connect them like this

-//////+-////+-////+ connet a wire on the negtive side of the aaa batterys and a wire on the postive side. then connect the wire to the imate battery, you will see a red dot which postive and black dot which negtive and keep it connect for 30 sec and then put back the imate battery back (it should start)

the imate battery looks like this

My imate Jam wont powerup
Just put the charger in the device and then soft reset it light will turn to yellow. if this dosent work try to put the charger and then remove the battery and put it back to phone while the charger need to be remain connected.this is gonna work

I'm not sure where you are, but I had the same problem in October 2007 and the help desk sent me a patch for the phone, because some MTN did some maintenances and changes that had the effect on the k-jam
