Follow this steps..
Reminder before troubleshooting ...
Make sure that the printer is on.
Make sure that you are using HP genuine ink cartridge.
Be careful of cleaning the inks and touch w/ your fingers, its very sensitive!
Solution #1 Clean all the inks
- open the cartridge access door.
- take out all the inks that you have on the printer. (put them on the table upside down)
- get a wet clean cloth.
- on each cartridge you need wipe it out the electrical contacts on the ink cartridge it self.
- put the inks back in to the printer.
- close the cartridge access door
- turn off the printer
- unplug/disconnect the power cable
- wait for 1min.
- plug the power cable back in back in to the printer.
- turn on the printer.
- access the setup menu (press the wrench icon on the printer or setup button)
- Go to tools, then look for clean printhead
- align the printer.
Solution #2 Clean the printhead manually
make sure that the printer is on.
- Open up the cartridge access door
- Take out all the inks that you have on the printer. (put them on the table upside down)
- Once you have take out the inks.
- Take out the printhead (printhead is the one that holding the inks)
- look for the printhead latch. (pull it up)
- Take out the printhead.
- Clean the electrical contacts of the printhead using a wet clean cloth again.
- Put the printhead and the inks back in to the printer.
- Close the cartridge access door.
- turn off the printer
- unplug/disconnect the power cable at the back of the printer.
- wait for 1min.
- plug the power cable back in to the printer
- turn on the printer.
- repeat cleaning and aligning the printer by going to tools under setup menu (wrench icon).
