How do i get my acer webcam to work on yahoo ???

Hi. I think you might try uninstalling the webcam driver then install the latest driver for your webcam. Also try installing a newer version of the yahoo messenger. I already tried this with my laptop that has the same issue with your machine and it works for me. Hope this helps..

Please first check whether your webcam works as stand alone device or not( by stand alone i mean whether it works without yahoo msgr or not)
After that check whther your webcam works with other messengers like SKYPE and GOOLE TALK messengers or not.
Most probably you may need the Webcam driver softwarefor your acer, for that you can contact Acer.Acer technical support number is 1-800-816-2237 and they are open 7 days a week on central time. Weeks days they close at 9.00pm central time, and weekends they close at 5.00pm central time.

Is this the first time you use your webcam wtih this yahoo? Select the person you want to have video conference with,under "actions" select "invite to view my cam" your cam will automatically start. If that doesn't work, let me know.

Take your laptop to your local computer repair shop, as it will take too long to explain a solution.

solution 1: reinstall your yahoo messenger

solution 2: reinstall your web cam driver again.

you have to go into the "macromedia flash" settings and "allow" the webam to be used by yahoo messenger, whilst in yahoo messenger itself.
If that doesn't work have a look at the webcams actual software

You need to configure the privacy settings on Yahoo Messenger.
