80 scheduled maintenance will not print

There is a maintenance kit you need to get and install. Then you'll have to go into maintenance mode and reset the maintenance count. I don't remember the button sequence, but if there is a printere repair shop in your city, most likely one of their techs will tell you how to reset the count. But you really should install the kit first. It consists of feed rollers, charge and transfer rollers, and fuser. It's not difficult to install and the kit can be purchased with a refurbished fuser from many vendors at reasonable prices.

80 scheduled maintenance

This issue is just like changing your oil or the timing belt on your car. If you don't fix it correctly it leads to other problems. So, be warned. :+)

Here's what the Lexmark KB says:

On the Lexmark T520/522 series printers, we recommend that the maintenance kit be replaced after every 250,000 pages. If possible, an authorized service technician should replace the maintenance kit parts on these printers.

On the Lexmark T620/622 series printers, we recommend that the maintenance kit be replaced after every 300,000 pages. The maintenance kit parts for these printers are customer-installable, but some dismantling of the rear area of the printer is involved.

Note: The maintenance kit may need to be replaced more often if the customer is running heavy media (like card stock or labels) through the printer.
It is possible to clear the maintenance error message without replacing the kit. The printer will still operate, but some print quality problems may arise. However, this is not recommended as the message serves as a reminder that maintenance is due. If the printer is under warranty, the customer has to purchase the maintenance kit and have it replaced in order to keep the warranty active, although the on-site replacement itself may be covered under the warranty.
The parts that make up the maintenance kits are:
A fuser unit
A transfer roller
A charge roller
To find the part number of the maintenance kit needed for your printer, see Printers / Maintenance kits.
Clearing the maintenance message
To clear the message, you will need to go into the printer's configuration mode. Do the following:
  1. Press and hold the SELECT and the RETURN buttons as you power the printer on.
  2. Hold the buttons for six to eight seconds after turning on the power, then release them. (If you receive the maintenance message, press the Go or the Select button to continue past it.)
  3. Now, press the right Menu arrow until you see RESET MAINT CNT.
  4. Select this. You may need to press the Select button again. The printer display should briefly flash SAVED.
  5. Power the printer off and then back on in the normal way. The printer should now power up normally.
  6. If it does not and the error returns, repeat the above procedure.
