After checking out the owner's manual for that device I do not believe that this camera supports taking pictures in black and white. I believe that the only option you will have in this situation is editing the pictures once they have been transferred to the PC.

Sorry.

Can I take black and white pictures with this camera?

Most digital cameras cannot take black and white photos. You need to download the photos to your computer and use a photo editing program to convert the color photos to black and white.

How can i get to black and white mode, and take the time stamp off

The S6100 doesn't have a black-and-white mode as such. You could use the black-and-white copy mode, which is designed to copy whiteboards or print on paper ("Black and white copy", page 70). In addition, you can convert pictures to black-and-white using filter effects in the playback menu ("Filter Effects", page 122).

To turn off the time stamp, tap the bottom tab, tap the wrench icon, then tap "Date". Select "Off" ("Print Date", page 157).

The page numbers are in my copy of the manual. If you need a manual, you can download one from

How do i take a black and white and sepia photo on olympus SP800UZ

The SP 800UZ doesn't have a black-and-white or sepia mode. You can convert a color picture to black-and-white or sepia by editing the picture on the camera. Full details are in the "Edit" section of the manual (page 38 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at
http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/SP-800UZ_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

In general, you're better off converting to black-and-white or sepia using photo editing software on a computer rather than doing it on the camera. The computer will give you much better control over things like brightness and contrast.

I am trying to photocopy some pages of a document in black and white, but the copies come out as colored. what can I do in order to copy only black and white document?

A copy is a copy. you get what it sees.

I think you may be successful in scanning the picture to your hard drive, then print it in grey scale.

Sounds like you want to do a lot of things with your camera but don't have the manual. You can download one at the support section of the Pentax website.

How do you take black and white pictures?

Press MENU to display the menu, then select the Shooting menu.

The first item should be "Color", which lets you select the color mode. You can choose B&W for black-and-white or Sepia for sepia-toned.

Take a look under "Shooting Menu" in your manual. It's on page 32 in my copy.

Sony DSC T77 How to Setup Black and white mode

Hi Allonsoma,

What the manual doesn't tell you is that you need to change the REC mode first to be able to fint the buttons in MENU.

Fist go into the REC mode (the one above menu when taking a photo). Change this to PGM and click OK. Now go into MENU, on the 3/4 page second button down should be a box with a + in the corner. This is the colour mode option. You can now change to vivid, sepia or black and white.

Hope this helps.
