After checking out the owner's manual for that device I do not believe that this camera supports taking pictures in black and white. I believe that the only option you will have in this situation is editing the pictures once they have been transferred to the PC.

The S6100 doesn't have a black-and-white mode as such. You could use the black-and-white copy mode, which is designed to copy whiteboards or print on paper ("Black and white copy", page 70). In addition, you can convert pictures to black-and-white using filter effects in the playback menu ("Filter Effects", page 122).
To turn off the time stamp, tap the bottom tab, tap the wrench icon, then tap "Date". Select "Off" ("Print Date", page 157).
The page numbers are in my copy of the manual. If you need a manual, you can download one from http://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/17246
The SP 800UZ doesn't have a black-and-white or sepia mode. You can convert a color picture to black-and-white or sepia by editing the picture on the camera. Full details are in the "Edit" section of the manual (page 38 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at
In general, you're better off converting to black-and-white or sepia using photo editing software on a computer rather than doing it on the camera. The computer will give you much better control over things like brightness and contrast.
You've probably got your camera in the black-and-white mode. Look through the viewfinder. Does it say "B/W" just to the right of the ISO?
If so, press cursor-down to bring up the Picture Style menu. Use the cursor keys to select the desired style and press SET. Full details are in the "Selecting a Picture Style" section of the manual (page 73 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_rebel_t1i_ef_s_18_55mm_is_kit#BrochuresAndManuals
If you're not in the black-and-white mode, please feel free to reply to this post. Please specify the picture style(s) you're using. Are you seeing B/W on both the review and when you download your pictures?
