Convert natural gas to propane on JGP945--part numbers do not match manual. orifices are color coded not numbered. Any idea on how to match?

Hi, W/D here.

I can tell you how I have done a similar appliance. I contacted my local propane company. They had all of the orifices, and cross reference guides necessary to convert it over to propane and they did it for free. Contact your local company. If your's won't do it for free like mine, they can surely get you the parts reasonably, and provide further guidance.

Best regards, --W/D--

How to convert a Modern Made cooktop from natural gas to propane

it's easy. It's only a matter of changing the jets under the spreader plates. They are reletavly inexpensive but make sure you get a qualified fitter to fit them, it's illegal for you to do it.

Propane conversion

All gaq cooktops come from the factory ready to be installed to natural gas. If the only gas available is propane the orifices have to be changed. The orifices are product specific and must be ordered for your particular stove.

That being said, if this is a new cooktop you have the answer. If this is a used cooktop and you do not know which style of orifices are installed now just contact your propane company and they will be happy to help you for free.

good luck with this. and please remember to rate my answer.

Propane to Natural Gas Conversion

on the regulator there is a 1/2" nut, made of aluminum. loosen the nut, thur it around and screw it back in, there is a "NAT" on one side, and a "LP" on the other side, make sure the "LP" is facing out if you are using propane, and "NAT", if you are using Natural Gas. Very simple, all you need is a 1/2" wrench, or a small adjustable wrench,

Convert to LP?

If it is possible, then the orifice has to be changed. The regulator may need to be changed as well. I am a certified LP technician for recreational vehicles, but I don't know enough about this particular appliance to say for sure if it can be converted. The best thing is to contact Miele directly, but this sort of conversion always requires a different orifice. Note that propane, butane, and natural gas are all forms of LP (Liquified petroleum), so conversion between the 3 is usually possible

Convert to LP (propane)

Contact Miele directly via their website. This would require an orifice change if it is possible for this appliance. Since natural gas, butane, and propane are all forms of LP (Liquified Petroleum), it is usually, but not always, possible.
