How do I get bath towels to absorb water?

Hi Steve, This is usually caused by an uneven load. For instance, If you have a bath towel in with some shirts or tea towels, the bath towel absorbes more water than the tea towels, thus making an uneven load.
My wife tends to wash slippers in a pillow case with nothing else in the washer, and the drum will bang against the side.

remove the unit that mixes the hot and cold water at the hot water system to prevent scalding of people
it is fitted there by law but unfortunately the plumbers who fit it are not willing to fit it where it is supposed to be fitted ( baths , showers and hand basin taps and lines )
better and cheaper to fit just one than several
it is not required for sinks and dishwasher and washing machines lines
anyway the human hand cannot stand water over 75 c as that when burns occur so having hotter means that you have to add cold to be able to put your hands in the water and that sort of defeats the purpose of having hotter water

Wash in cold water, and use fabric softener as well as dryer sheets when drying at low heat on dryer. To hot of water and to hot o drying will cause this.

unscrew the shower head counter clockwise. Most shower heads have a wire mesh screen built in. remove it and wash out with water. Before re installing I would turn water on to be sure your water is reaching the shower head. If not your problem is at the water valve

sounds like you may not be getting enough water.it will stop if water is in short supply.this may be if you are running washer at the same time.or running a bath.if hot water is in short supply,this maybe a hotwater heater problem.have you been running out of hot water when showering or bathing?

Hi, check leveling of machine, machine should be proper leveled on all side, use spirit level to adjust legs, there should be no rocking motion, in any direction after leveling, put hands on top of machine and try to rock it sids to side, there should be no movements, also check for overloading, be careful when washing things like bath towels, etc, they absorb lots of water, eg. one regular bath towel are equivalent, to six pants, six tops. or possible springs or bushings broken, you need open machine and check.

hi, you may find that the towels when wet are to heavy for the belt to grip the drum if it spins with normal clothes in you need to reduce the load when you wash your towels, hope this helps.

The brand of your front loader is not that material on this issue. What is happening is that your old top load washer may have used as much as 45 gallons of water per cycle, while some front loaders use as little as 12. Because of the low water use, you must cut back on the additives you are using. Use only 1 tablespoon of HE detergent (even less if 2x or 3x detergent) per load. If you use fabric softener, use only 1 teaspoon per load. Odor on clothes after wash is indicating that the detergent and or softener has not been fully rinsed out. If you throw a load of washed towels into your machine and start a cycle without any soap, then stop the cycle, you should not see any suds. If you do, there is obviously soap left in the clothes. With bath towels, the towels are used to absorb clean water off a clean body. They do not need soap when you wash them, and never use fabric softener on towels.
