Please read this site. Just to make clear what you can do with internal memory, SD cards and so on in any Android device.
Be aware the SD card is only an external device to keep your files close to the device. You can't open them and you can't run any app from it.
To open files in the internal memory, toy need to have enough free internal memory to let the app that wants to open the file can run, and some extra space. If the memory is full you need to clear memory, by moving apps or data to the SD card.

SOURCE: LG neon will not read sd card

Buy a microSD card 2G. Don't buy a microSDHC card. The phone will not read High Capacity cards. Just get the regular microSD card and your phone should be able to read and write to the card. Check in your "my stuff" and you should see the memory card and some folders like Photo, Videos, Others, Sounds, etc

SOURCE: LG VX8350 can't transfer mp3's to removable storage any more

Make sure you format the card in the phone and not using an external card reader.

Also make sure you are not using a card that is beyond the capability of the phone. The phone is limited to 4GB cards.Use only cards that are 4GB and lower capacity.

If you still have problems I would try getting another brand of card, Kingston and Sandisk have worked well for me.

Tabs keep popping up telling me everything has stopped have done reset didn't help

First of all, switch off the tab. Then check if the SD card is properly seated by removing and inserting it. Switch on the tab and check under Settings -> Storage if the option to unmount the SD card is enabled, but don't tap it. The way to the SD card properties may be slightly different on your tab. Then check if there is sufficient free space left. If this doesn't solve the problem, a master reset may be necessary. Just remember to backup contacts and calendar before doing a master reset! Contacts can be exported to a file on SD card. Applications from phone storage can be reinstalled from Google Play, under your "My Apps" menu.

How can I add my own pdf files to the sd card

I have a couple of android tablets. To transfer files to the microSD card, I plug the USB cable into my laptop where the files are and make sure it is *connected as a media device* in Settings or the drop-down menu in the Kit Kat operating system. Then I use Windows File Manager to choose and copy files to the SD card. Windows File Manager displays the android device and shows the internal storage and the microSD card storage. Be sure to open the SD card storage by clicking on it and then create a folder called Downloads if there isn't one already there by that name and then copy your .pdf files into that folder. If you wish to create a sub-filed in the Downloads folder called PDF to keep things better organized you can do that as well.

Good luck.

My deleted file is in the sd card.. can the phone memory or whatever storage it has in the phone can recognize the files in the phone memory? -- is the phone memory or any storage of phone can read and...

Usually the SD card is a secondary storage device ... and separate from the (internal) phone memory. To determine / test this, see if your phone still have (some) information when you remove the SD card from the phone... e.g. your telephone contact list, etc.
Yes, you can try to recover the "deleted" file on the SD card using a PC / laptop ... using a data recovery utility/tool (on your PC) to scan the storage space or "undelete" that deleted file..

If your phone can be attached to a PC (e.g. via USB), and if your PC recognizes the "storage" disk on your phone as an "external" disk, you may also be able to use a data recovery utility to scan the storage space or "undelete" that deleted file.
