DSC Power 832 blank keypad and cant shut off siren?

If the keypad on your DSC Power 832 goes blank when the alarm is tripped, there could be a few reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:
  1. Check the power supply: Make sure that the power supply to the alarm system is working correctly. Check the power connections, and ensure that the battery is charged. A weak battery or poor power connections can cause the keypad to go blank.
  2. Check the keypad connections: Check the keypad connections to ensure that they are secure and not corroded. Corroded connections can cause intermittent issues with the keypad.
  3. Check for damaged wiring: Check the wiring to the keypad to ensure that it is not damaged. Damaged wiring can cause the keypad to lose power intermittently.
  4. Test the keypad: Test the keypad to see if it is working correctly. Press each key on the keypad to ensure that it is responding. If any keys are not responding or are responding intermittently, there may be an issue with the keypad itself.
  5. Check for a faulty control panel: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the control panel. A faulty control panel can cause intermittent issues with the keypad.
If you're unable to troubleshoot and resolve the issue on your own, it may be best to contact a professional alarm system technician to diagnose and fix the problem.

Apple cinema display intermittent blank

I would suspect the screen saver function having a glitch in it.. I'm sure that you've wiggled, unhooked and re-hooked your display cable and made sure the connections were tight??? Look for the simple things first....

GE spacemaker microwave turns off during cooking and display goes black

Step 1:

Door Switch

If the microwave runs for a few seconds and then shuts off, a door switch might have failed intermittently. Check each of the door switches for any signs of overheating, arcing, or burning. Also check each of them for continuity. Replace any of the switches that is visibly damaged or that only has continuity intermittently

Step 2:

Main Control Board

If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops there may be a short circuit in the main control board. Check other components first, these boards are often misdiagnosed.

Touchpad and Control Panel

If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the touchpad and control panel might be defective. There are several other components that can cause this problem, be sure to check any other components before replacing this board.

Touchpad

If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the touchpad might be at fault. This is not common. Generally speaking, if the microwave display is working and some of the buttons respond correctly but some don't, the problem is with the touchpad.

High Voltage Transformer

If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the high voltage transformer might have an intermittent short. This is not common. Check other components related to the microwave symptom first.

Thermostat

If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the thermostat might be defective. Watch our video on testing thermostat

HP Laserjet 4345mfp after memory count finishes control panel goes blank(display is working but all black) nothing else happens. I've already replaced formatter, dc controller and engine power supply,...

I recently worked on an HP LJ M4345MFP with the following problems: the display was functional, but had no backlight - the blooming logo continued to animate and lights continued to cycle, but the start-up process would not move past 6/5 "E" - and the machine would not perform a printer engine test. Tried replacing the formatter, the DC controller, and the SMPS to no avail. The resolution ended up being the engine power supply (which, unfortunately is a very involved disassembly/reassembly).

Sony Blu Ray S350 plays well but have intermittent loss of video signal. Screen shows coloured background (yellow or white), audio continues to play then screen goes black then picture returns; this cycle...

It may be a problem in the digital section of the TV. If you find a part of the movie that blanks out, try rewinding back to it and see if it goes out again. It may also be the HDMI cable you are using. The blank out is often the result of the TV trying to adjust to the correct resolution for the program being played, and we need to diagnose why it is changing resolutions. Microwave interference and voltage fluctuations can also cause these issues.

Picture comes on for a couple seconds, then goes blank

You may have bad 24vdc power supply or bad back light inverter boards.

I just bought a used Mitsubishi-NEC V71LCD monitor. After connecting the power cord, and the video cord, I powered the monitor up. It had a video display for about two seconds, and then went black. I reset...

dhowie, Monitor will need work done to internal "switch-mode-power-supply"/"CCFL inverter supply board. possible bad electrolytic filter capacitors or thermally intermittant component soldering on printed citcuit board. Your CCFL back-lit LCD display no different than any other brand in it's basic design and operation. Spend an hour in my fixya profile reading about black screen and blank n black screen stuff. Then you will know what you will do or not do to solve V71LCD problem. Follow the links to other sites for more info here on fixya and elsewhere. I will check for response from you at this same posting later.

WS-65807 picture goes black when using HiDef Signal

Tank, If the unit operates correctly on DVD then we can assume that the signal chain and display is operational. Can you substitute the Directv receiver to rule the box out as part of the problem? I know they came out and checked but how exhausting was the testing? Have you checked signal strength on the directv on screen setup? Low or marginal signal strength could cause intermittent blanking. When the screen goes dark does the audio continue? please let us know..

Display stopped working

My Alpine CDA-7842 works fine from a functional point of view but the display (readout) had stopped working. All the lights on the display work but the actual readout is blank. At first the readout would intermittently work now it's completely dead. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
