Most likely replacing that Resistor is not the only problem, do you know how to replace surface mount components?
I can look on a know good unit and see if there is a value or measure it. Surface mount components are not sold like regular electronic parts were.
Hello, I was able to fix this charger via replacing several parts in the source part which were either short-circuited (transistors and diodes) or burnt (resistors):
F1 (fuse 2,5A)
R5 0,91R +-1%
V5 (ST)P6NK90Z
V1-V4 1N4007
V6 2N3904
V8 1N4148
R7, R8 300k +-2%
This won't help after 5 years, but maybe it can be helpful for someone else.
Same thing happened to me recently. The charger (wall transformer) is bad, there is little voltage coming out of the charger base. The circuit inside the base is simple rectifier with LED. Mine is fried from my experiment. If anyone has the resistor R1, R2 values or colored pictures to show the color bars would be helpful. I thought mine was 52 ohms and 100 ohms respectively...but that doesn't seem right. At any rate, a simple 14-15VDC 200mA charger could replace the adapter/circuit board altogether.
Hello, The component is a resistor. The problem is going to be determining the resistors value since it was burnt and you can not see the color code. You might try contacting the manufacturer and asking them the value of that specific resistor by including the number like you did in your post R14. If you can find a wiring diagram for the product, it should tell you the value of the resistor also.

I need the same, but found a Makita multi-voltage charger and have been able to use it. The package says It is for Makita batteries only. HItachi also makes a universal battery charger. I found both at my local Lowe's. The Makita was originally $69, but was marked down to $25. The Hitachi was around $70. You can find either one for good prices on Ebay or Amazon.
