Ok, so the last time I messed with the router was about a year ago, and I seem to have forgoten the password that I set it as, I have gone through my list of normal passwords but none seem to work. I do not know if there is a way to reset my password or not. Somebody please help me.
This Motorola WR850GP has been at home for over one year. Some how I am unable to acess to the internet and now I am asked for the pass word. Unfortunately, I am unable to remember. I tried many of my usual ones. But in no avail. Is there any role for the reset button on the router to get things sorted out. Please help. The details of the product I have are as below:
S/N: 14610142780843700100
WAN MAC: 000CE553986E
Wireless MAC: 000CE553986C
Hope get this sorted out.
Thanks

You can reset the device to the default factory settings by holding down the reset button for 7 seconds. The default password is blank.
Now you can log into the router using an Ethernet cable, the default IP is 192.168.2.1.
Hi,man
First, you forgot to tell us what password you want to know.such as windows or office,if you forgot the office passwowd ,you can try some password recovery software, just like Office Password Recovery 5.0,I used last time and then found the forgoten password, you can also enter the website http://www.recoverlostpassword.com/products/products.html,
that you can find other software to recover the password. If i am helpful please rate me.
Good luck!
For that first press RESET button it is in back side of router. Press it for 10 seconds. Then connect t\router to computer with ethernet cable. Then you can access it's configuration with http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password" Then click on wireless then enable wep security then add new password. Configure WAN settings as your internet service provider settings. Enable DHCP.Then save settings and restart router. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks.
It would seem that the only way to reset my password is to do a full hard reset of the router. This is done by pressing on the reset button located at the rear of the unit between the power adapter jack and the 1st of the LAN ports. To reset the router to the factory defaults, press and hold the Reset button for more than five seconds. This clears the router’s Username, Password, IP Address, Subnet Mask and Operation Mode. Pls bear in mind that when you do a full reset, all other configurations would revert to factory default.
Additionally a user's manual is available from the fixya
site.
