Hi there! It sounds like you have our Linx stick vacuum or hand vacuum model. Plug only the charger into an outlet, the blue light on the charger should flash once. If the light on the charger flashes once then the charger is fine. Try resetting the battery by following these quick steps below.

1. Remove the battery from charger or cleaner
2. Unplug the charger
3. Insert the battery into the vacuum and turn the unit on for 30 seconds (even if it has no power)
4. Remove the battery
5. Plug the charger into an outlet, make sure the light on charger blinks blue once.
6. Insert battery into charger

The light should be a solid blue, indicating the battery reset worked. If so, allow the battery to charge for 3-4 hours, completely deplete battery on your next use and re-charge. Clean your battery contacts on the battery and charger with a pencil eraser to assure good contact. Flashing red or flashing in general usually is the sign of a too low to charge battery, a shorted battery or a bad connection. In some instances, a battery will begin to charge once left on the flashing charger for an hour or so. Try this and see if the light becomes constant. If so, it is charging. If it still flashes, replace the battery.

If you are having these problem with your nokia, there are two possible reasons why this should be happening;

1. You could be charging it with a faulty charger, and you should get another e71 charger for it. You can probably use this same presumed faulty charger on another nokia phone and if it does work well then it implies that the charger is fit and well. So please don't replace the charger.

2. This therefore leaves us with the last option which is the battery, please replace the battery you've got and your phone would charge normally.

if you can pair this device go to paring mode by pressing the answer/end key and the volume up( +) key at the same time over 5 seconds until the blue indicator light lights up.
after do this try to paring again.
