Presuming that other sources work okay and the the cables are connected correctly.....Try a CD Lens cleaner.

If that doesn't work then it's time to open up the unit and manually clean the laser lens. If that still doesn't work then the laser might be dead. Replacement parts may be available. Whether or not you can do this as a DIY repair though is questionable. It depends on your skill.

Aiwa CX-ZR525 when i plug the system up it will show the display for the CD, no other button i push is responding

Hi JACQUELYN MOORE, so you say you have problems in the function control system, you might have some of the keys locked and that does not answer any other
Check all the keys and see if any are locked
and comment

Hola JACQUELYN MOORE, por lo que comentas tienes problemas en el sistema de control de funciones, puede ser que tengas alguna de las llaves trabadas y eso hace que no te responda ninguna otra
Revisa todas las llaves y ver si alguna esta trabada

My Aiwa cx-nma545 keeps turning off.

Your system is in 'Eco' mode. If you are in this mode, and go 10 minutes without playing a CD or cassette, it will automatically turn itself off.

Here's how you get out of 'Eco' mode:

1) Go to the jog wheel assembly
2) Press 'Eco'
3) Press 'Enter'
4) The display will show "Eco Mode On"
5) Immediately turn the jog wheel, to turn the status from 'On' to 'Off'

Aiwa Stereo

Same model, same problem. (CX NA-50) I have one that worked great for two years (at best) and I haven't used it since then. I recently decided to look for a solution via the internet.
I read somewhere else that there was a class action settlement with aiwa (now expired) since many of these units had this problem.
