How do you reverse the swiss gear reversible belt

You apparently put belt on incorrectly

I have seen a number of domestic rotavators but haven't yet seen one with a reverse gear. You didn't make it clear in your description whether yours has a reverse gear and that is all that is working or whether it usually only moves forward but is moving backwards?

While it is theoretically possible for a 2-stroke engine to run backwards, your engine is a 4-stroke that is incapable of running backwards and so it would seem the gear selector is stuck if it has one or someone has carried out repair work and made a mistake or something else is broken.

The only thing that comes to mind is some of the older designs used an over-long drive belt that crossed in the middle like a figure eight in order to reverse the driven pulley and replaced the belt with one that seemed the right size would cause the machine to run backwards.

The belt on an 8925 should not have any twist. If it has been twisted the brushroll will go backwards. Install a new belt and make sure it will spin freely with no twist in the belt.

see if the drive belt broke

sounds like you have a buckle failure....this is the removal procedure...

1. Remove the front seat.

1. Disconnect the front safety belt buckle electrical connector.

1. Remove the front safety belt buckle.

NOTE: The front safety belt buckle retaining bolt is part of the safety belt buckle and should not be separated.
Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure

When you say you put bike in reverse gear, are you twisting the reverse gear switch? is the bike in neutral? and are you operating the engine start switch to make the bike go in reverse? This machine operates in reverse by using the starter motor.

I have a manual for the Wizard 5HP tiller. The reverse belt basically makes a figure 8
The belt goes over the motor pulley and over the idler pulley then makes a twist in the middle and around the bottom pulley. This cause it to basically rotate the opposite direction from the rotation of the drive pulley

twist the strap inside the buckle (hard to do since the opening for the strap is small) but that should take care of that one. This also works on all make and model cars that have the strap that goes through the buckle.
