A load tester is typically a resistance pack with an amp gauge to see how the battery deals with current draw. most automotive parts stores have one to bench test car/motorcycle batteries, which they do at no charge (pardon the pun).

Batteries can have a "surface charge"(voltage) which will supply low current at the specified voltage from a battery with bad cells, but when a real operating load, such as for an electric motor, the charge drops to zip..

If the charger is putting out voltage to the battery while it's plugged in then it would definitely be a battery issue, generally the charging system for electric wheel-chairs has regulatory circuits to prevent over charging so having one plugged in when not in use typically doesn't cause issues.

Truck is draining charge and not charging battiers

I just went thru same thing with my 2003 f-350 diesel. I hooked up my horse Trailor and drove to Von's parked went in came back out and truck was dead. I tried to jump it didn't work. Then over next two hours two tow truck Drivers hooked up to both batteries full power charge direct to my truck and would not start.
End story required two new batteries alternator and cilanoid discussed above. In other post. Also contributing to the cause was really badly coroded cables they looked good at the connection point but wher discovered to be coroded inside the tubing just above the end connections so bow it has all been replaced and I have had no trouble since. Hope this helps. Tanya

How do know if remote control is not working after putting in new battiers

The remote can be tested with a tester--the most common kind is a laminated card with a strip that illuminates when the remote is pointed at it and buttons pressed.

Many digital cameras in a dim or dark room will react on the display screen in the same way--the card type tester is not expensive and requires no batteries.

If you get it tested and find NO functions I can provide advice.

If some buttons work but others do not I can help.

If the remote checks good then the set may have an issue with the receiver (tiny) in the front of the set that receives the signal from the remote and processes it.

My battery wont keep its charge or charge properly ive tested the

Go to an auto parts store and buy a load tester for the battery. It doesn't cost much and sometimes if you bring the battery there they will test it for you with a load tester. It may have a dead cell which won't allow it to hold a charge or put out enough power. If you need a battery, some shops will install them for free. Good luck.

2000 Ford Excursion has developed a problem of not turning.

Yes replace the battery and I dont care what the battery tester says. The grid in the battery is cracked and when battery gets hot it opens up creating an open circut. You may have enough power to run your accesories and lights but when you try to pull a large amperage draw it just wont send enough current to the starter motor. After the battery cools for 2 or 3 hours it works fine. This is a common failure on most modern batterys today. Electronic testers can be fooled by this problem. The only tester that will find it is a carbon pyle load tester that will put up to a real 500amp load on the battery. I see this problem 3 or 4 times a week.

Battary light would not go off

Have the battery and the alternator tested under a heavy electrical load. Some of the cheap battery testers will not indicate a bad or weak cell. Also your alternator may not put out enough amperage to keep up with the electrical demands placed upon it. A good battery tester is a carbon pyle tester. Good luck.
