SOURCE: Hot door frame ( Whirlpool side by side door frig )

The mullion frame stays warm to eliminate sweating during the heat season. This is accomplished by routing the heat removed from the unit by the freon through tubing behind the mullion strip(s). Generally this is experienced as "warm". However, if the unit runs longer than normal in an attempt to pull heat out of the box to satisfy the cold control, these mullions will be HOT to the touch. Basically this serves as an alarm to alert you to a circulation problem. You describe a fan at the bottom right rear as "not working"?
I attempted to locate an answer to resolve the issue for you, but you have not provided me with enough information to access my service database.
Tip: Always provide the complete information provided on the manufacturers product information data tag, located on the unit, and not in the user’s manual. This will help you acquire a more accurate and expeditious response to your complaint.
Below is a link that will help you with parts and diagnostic procedures that are specifically tuned to your manufacturers data plate information.

SOURCE: Hot Frame

the hot frame is due to poor or no air flow across teh condenser coil located in the compressor compartment in the rear of the unit. pull unit from wall remove card board cover and there is a fan that should be blowing. while you have it pulled apart be sure to clean the coil. the jelly roll looking peice the motor is mounted to. if the motor is bad you can put a house fan blowing on it until you get a ne fan installed. thx peyton

SOURCE: side by side getting very hot on top left side of

Not quite sure about top left side, probably normal.
But the hot door liner is definetly normal, this is so the liner remains plyable and doesn't freeze to the frame.

SOURCE: The external metal frame is VERY HOT

Your condenser fan is probably not running. 99 percent of the time that you feel that hot spot it is from the condenser fan not running and the unit is not rejecting any heat

SOURCE: the frame where the doors close onto is hot to the

Hi Mr Hodjati,

No this is not normal. You have a failure of air flow in your condenser. I will explain how to repair if you wish to make the repair youself. If this is not addressed you will soon realize a reduction in cooling and a higher use of energy.

There is a fan that pulls air in from the lower right side front of the refrigerator grille located below the fresh food door, and exhausts the air on the left side of this same grille. Remove this grill and clean the coils with a vacume cleaner and a brush. Pull the refrigerator out so you can get behind the unit. Unplug the power cord from the wall. Next remove the screws from the panel behind the refrigerator near the bottom, the panel may look like a piece of cardboard, but it is a critical component. Once this panel is removed you will see the fan motor and fan blade, make sure nothing like a food wrapper or animal is stuck in the fan causing it to be stuck. If it turns free by hand (it will be real hot down there so be careful), then the motor needs replaced. If you send me the model number I can find you the replacement part number. Let me know if this helps.

Door frame warm

Nearly all modern fridges are self defrosting. Additionally, some models offer the option to minimize moisture on the cabinet. To do both the defrosting and controlling moisture build up, small heaters are used. Defrost heaters are located in the freezer compartment.

Typically, the other heaters are installed in the frame on the front of the fridge cabinet, near the freezer opening. This is where sub-freezing cold air would escape and contact the warmer (room temperature) outer cabinet. This causes condensation much the same way a glass of cold water "sweats" sitting on a counter or table. The warmer and more humid the room is, the more quickly the condensation will form. The heater is used to quickly evaporate any moisture that collects on the cabinet. This heater is operated at the same time as the defrost heater, and they are turned on by a timer, 2 or 3 times a day for about 20 to 30 minutes each time. When they are powered, it is expected that the cabinet will be warm to the touch. You may smell plastic, as the door seals adjacent to and in contact with the heated parts of the freezer opening are warmed, and is normal - particularly if new. The heaters should never be hot to the touch nor should smoke be seen.

I hope this helps!

The middle part of the fridge frame where the side by side doors close onto is very hot to the touch. The fridge and the freezer portion themselves are working properly, but I just leaned on the frame in...

I had the same problem. I had just brush cleaned my coils and then it began. When I took the back off the fridge, I saw the fan was not spinning. I unplugged the fridge and then tried to spin the fan blades. I had inadvertantly bent a blade so it would not spin. I bent the blade back into shape and turned it on. The fan worked and very quickly the middle was no longer hot.

Front metal , top heating element very hot

This should be OK. There are heat strips placed behind the door frame to prevent sweating around the door frame due to the metal being cold normally without the strips. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Kenmore side by side model 106.55512400 inside frame hot to touch

There is an electric heater in the center which is called a mullion heater. If you have an energy saver switch on your model turn it to the saving position.

Door frame really hot to touch

Also clean the coils underneath the unit as far as the fan (condenser ) you can put a house fan on the back blowing to cool the compresser until you get a replacement. That fan runs anytime the compresser runs

Door frame around freezer door is very hot for a long time in side-by-side refrigerator/freezer

The problem you describe is caused by the hot gas pipe that runs around the cabinet, this is normal for it too get warm, the only reason it would be very hot is that for some reason the gases are not being cooled, probable cause is that the condenser is blocked with dust or fluff, depending on axact version some are located behind the plastic trim that runs below the doors and others are in the back behind the lower rear panel.
