How do I remove discoloration from stainless steel refidgerator
Use this suggestion with caution. Assuming it is real stainless steel (not a coated or faux finish) and you have already tried various cleaners without success.
Purchase Scotch-Brite pads for stainless steel (many automotive stores sell them for a few bucks) and lightly rub the area beng careful to ALWAYS RUB/POLISH IN A STRAIGHT LINE WITH THE "GRAIN" or brush marks to polish out the stain. Always test this on an inconspicuous area first. This also works well with stainless steel vent hoods and cook tops.

I may need to know your model # from the sticker inside the fridge to view a diagram but usually there is are small set screws (usually 2) on the handle which are allen head that can be tightened. Look for this first and let me know if there are no set screws. If this is your setup then I would appreciate a solved rating.

It may be rust coming through the finish, it could also be nicotene residue if there is a smoker in the house or oil residue from alot of cooking. I would check with the factory customer service line to see if they have heard of the problem. it is an expensive unit and they should try to keep you happy.

The fill valve may hae a chunk of debris such as rust in it. If you disconnect power and water, you might disassemble the valve if it's the type that was screwed together. If it's riveted, you'll have no choice but to replace. In either case, make sure you have a filter in the line so this does not happen again.

Tried lots of suggestions to no avail. Tried a USED, dried out Scotch Brite Cook Top pad on the scrubber handle with Heavy Duty Fantastick sprayed on the pad. Scrubbed the drip marks at the bottom and wiped away to see if it was "scratching" or marri8ng the finish. Nope, but IT WAS taking the water marks off. So I did a bit more and checked again. Working great with no problems for the finish. Cleaned the whole watermark area. Rinsed of with wet cloth. Let it dry and then used my usual stainless cleaner, buffed to shine and walked away to post this. :> My refrig is an Aman too but I read other problem sites and it is common with stainless steel refrigs
