Dont know the model number just need to know proper way to do the start up.
Before plugging in (to keep from ruining heater element), fill the tank completely with water. Your model may have to have the lid closed to allow water to drop. Pour in a pitcher of water, close lid. If water is not coming out the filter, then add more water and close lid. When the tank is full, water will come out the filter holder. Now you can plug it in and turn the lower switch on. You will hear it when it heats and when it is done (give it 10 minutes or so the first time). you can make coffee.
Ok, the best I can suggest w/o a model is for you to do 2 things.
1. visit http://www.bunn.com/
and look at the home models shown, try to find yours and note which one it is. Then, here's a link to where you can download a manual.

2. Please let us know if this helped you out. ~Thank you.

Leave the unit unplugged and add a carafe of water to the top reservoir.
Close the lid.
Wait a bit to make sure the water has drained into the tank.
Add another carafe of water to the top reservoir.
Place carafe on warmer plate.
Close the lid.
When water stops going into the carafe, you may plug the machine in and make sure the "travel switch" is in the ON position. ON = |, OFF = O.
Wait at least 15 minutes for the water in the tank to heat up, and brew as you normally would for other BUNN coffee makers.
