Hi,

You have and machine control and a compressor inverter. So I assume you need the inverter that controls the compressor function/run. Part number is WR55X10685, I know you asked for a price but I would check you local parts store and the internet for better pricing for you needs. I don't sell parts, I install them and repair units. I give advise when I have time to help. Good Luck

Manual for GE profile pfss5njw/pfsf5njw for setting temp.controls.

Most GE appliance manuals are available through their support site: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/literature.htm. The manuals for the PFSS5NJW and PFSF5NJW are here: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-literature-search?Ntt=pfss5njw&x=0&y=0 . The direct link to the Use and Care Manual is currently http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60489-2.pdf .

To change the temperature setting for the refrigerator, press and release the appropriate Warmer or Colder touch pad. Press several times to reach the desired temperature setting. (The freezer control is on the left.) Note: As you cycle through the temperature settings, it is possible to set the cooling to OFF. See page 4 of the manual to see these directions.

I hope this helps.

Refridgerator makes a clicking noise like a set of contacts trying to open and close. what might that be.

If the fridge is not working properly it's probably the starter relay trying to start the compressor. It's a small electrical part on or near the compressor around at the back behind the cardboard cover. It's cheap and you can replace it yourself. If it's not the problem but it can't start the compressor then you need a tech to look at the compressor.

If the unit is cooling the noise could be from the electronic control which could be on the back in some models and in fridge with the controls in others. A noise from the control usually means it's going bad.

Refrigerator keeps running The compressor is not shutting off regardless of how cold it gets. If the temp is set at 35 for the frig and 0 for the freezer, the compressor keeps running even when the temp...

your cold-control that you adjust has gone out,be it dial adjust or electronic unplug the dial one and see it will shut down,be careful on unplugging on an electronically controlled unit as you can ruin the control board if not powered down before board is unplugged

GE profile Refrigerator Model # PFS2251SBSS

You must be referring to the compressor. It's possible it could be your main control board on the back of the unit. Typically its these main boards that go out, as they control everything on your GE Refrig, pretty much. If its not the board, it could be your Relay on the compressor, or the compressor its self, however, in my experience, GE's compressors are pretty decent.

Stoped cooling in freezer and refridgertor but lights are on . ge model psw26lsrdss

check the compressor and make sure it is running,if quite warm, replace the rtc overload on the side of the compressor first, this should solve your cooling problems,if there have been outages or surges, then you may need to replace the motherboard electronics in the lower rear of the unit, but with no cooling the first approach is much less expensive

How do I force a defrost on a ge sxs gss20iepcww It is not a touch pad control ref. It has 2 knobs

on all ge electronic models produced since 2000 the main power lead to the main board can be jumped to test either defrost or compressor operation.to do this unplug the unit and locate the 3 wire plug (usually blue in color) .unplug the harness from the board and create a jumper wire to by pass the board.the terminals on the board will be identified as line, compressor and heater.to put unit in defrost install jumper between line and htr or def .this will ck the defrost sys.once unit is plugged in with jumper in place the heater will come on.if the heater does not come on look for a defective heater or defrost t/stat.hope this helps.
