"95" Dodge caravan SE, service engine light never came on until i had it serviced. Could someone please tell me what code 122155 is ? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thats 3 codes. 12 is battery has been disconnected recently. 21 is oxygen sensor. & 55 is end of message. Try disconnecting battery again for a few seconds to erase them & see if light comes back on.

Well, the code 12 is telling you the battery or the computer has been disconnected in the last 50 starts, code 21 is a problem with the O2 sensor, and code 55 is telling you there are no more trouble codes stored in memory. Code 21 means the O2 sensor is not switching from rich to lean, which can be a faulty sensor or a fuel problem.
There is some sort of diagnostic code stored in either the ECM(engine computer) or TCM(transmission computer).There are many sensors and solenoids and other data parameters that can cause a codes to set other than just the oxygen sensors.You will need to have the code(s) pulled to know where to start.
Take it to Advance Auto Parts, or Auto Zone, they will scan your computer for free to get the code and tell you what it means. May just be a sensor, or the gas cap isn't tight (emissions) may or may not be serious. Thanks.
The 95 Caravan is great for giving you trouble codes. However they are two digit codes. There should be a blink sequence followed by a short pause then another blink sequence (example 2 blinks, short pause, 3 blinks... Then 5 blinks, pause, 5 blinks which means no more codes. Turn key from off to run three times and leave in run and watch check engine light to count blinks. Disconnecting negative terminal on battery for 30 seconds clears codes.
Without knowing more.. I would guess you need to fix your instrument cluster. It could be a bad ground but more likely it is broken. The part is not too expensive but the time to put it in will be as much or more than the part if you hire someone. This is a common problem. I drive and work on the 1991-95 Caravan/Voyagers.. great vehicles once you get a feel for them.

You would have to repeat the problem with the scanner hooked up and someone who knows what he's doing watching it. If the check engine light came on then a code will be stored.

Need to Have it Checked for WHAT FAULT CODES ARE IN the ECM<= Computer this or These Code's Will Give Information As to What the Problem is It MAY BE Something Very Simple. If you Have NOT Noticed a Change in The Vehicles Preformance it Shouldnt Be A Costly Repair. well the check engine light is directly intergrated to the vehicles main computer.often times when the vehicle is repaired the code that caused the light to come on needs to be reset. there are to forms of codes active, and stored. what often times happens is a stored code doesn't get reset and from time to time it will cause the light to come on. also it could be that even though you had the vehicle repaired it could be that they either did not fix the right problem or they never reset the codes. my suggestion is to take it back to the shop that repaired it and have them do it right. one other thing you should check is that all your fluid levels are as they should be. in most vehicles today low fluid levels ie coolant, oil,etc will cause the light to come on. hope this helps you...please rate this
