Where is reset button?

Depending on the brand. Whirlpools have a reset button under the panel on the side of the heater where the heating elements are located.

Why do I suddenly have no hot water in my electric Premier Plus water heater?

1st check the circuit breaker that supplies power to the water heater. If that is OK then check and see if you have power to the heating elements on the water heater. If not then check and see if the thermostat on the water heater has power to its connections and verify that it is calling for the water to be heated. Last if all these checks are OK then you must have a burnt out heating element. Some can be replaced but you will have to drain the water from the heater before replacing the elements.

Premier Plus Model#MHE62-30H-045DV Ser#45T421608 I just purchased this hot water heater.I had it professionally installed by a plumber. We had hot water before I went to bed but when I woke in the morning...

sounds like you have a power problem. or worst than that a leak . So lets look at the leak first. Turn off the water supply at the water heater on top. This valve should be on the cold side of the heater on top.

Turn it off, check and see if you have pressure in the house by turning on a faucet. It should run for a second then stop. That is good if it does. Leave the valve off on the heater and check that your breaker is on. Reset the breaker by turning it on and off.

Wait about 2 hours turn the heater back on and check to see how hot the water is hot then you might have a leak in the building. If there is not or little hot water. Check the wires where it connects to the water heater. You might only have one wire that is connected right.

The best thing to do is to get a amo meter and check to see if you have 220 if you dont have 220 you will not warm up the water the way it should.

Thanks Richard

My heater is not getting hot i can not tell if their is a pilot light or a reset button i don know what to do with the heater it is very different how can i heat my water heater

Reliance makes gas and electric water heaters.
http://www.reliancewaterheaters.com/

Best way to start is to look at label on side of tank.
Label has serial number, model number, plus it will say if heater is gas or electric.
Reliance water heater age is shown in serial number: first digit is letter, second two digits are numbers: for example numbers 02 would be the year 2002.
If water heater is 8-12 years old, it might be time to consider new tank.

Gas water heater has 3 inch metal flue pipe coming out of top of tank.
Gas pilot is probably off.
Relight pilot light: Most gas water heaters today have instructions on side of tank just above gas valve that say how to relight pilot light. Instructions vary by model.
If you have gas water heater that is older, it might be easier to call a plumber.

Electric water heater has panels on front.
Open top panel and push in red reset button.
If you have electric water heater of any age, you can usually fix it yourself same day:

call the manufacter direct, they will usually have the part that you need. Be very careful of the plastic container hold the element inside. The break very easily, then you will have to replace the whole tank
