The metal end of the stylus is diamond shaped. The slot you are trying to put it in is a slightly larger diamond shape. Put the top edge in first and gently insert. If there is a problem it is maybe because the fingers in the cartridge are bent.

SOURCE: Wurlitzer arm keeps running

check the white plastic actuator next to the gear box, it is probably broken and not actuating the microswitch underneath it, these often fail, it may look ok,, but it actually is loose and the set screw on top of it is not clamping it to the rod.

Just bought a new Shure high performance stylus for my Technics SL-1200MK2. After a few weeks of use, while a record is playing the volume on the left channel will drop significantly. If I take the...

it could be two things:
1.the tone arm wires that connect to the head shell (blue-red-green-white i think)
2. the needle arm has twisted round
Put it on the other deck if you've got one & see if it does it.
look right at the end of the needle tip,& see if it's straight & pointing down, if not carefully twist the needle arm round until it is,& push it into back in to the cartridge a little bit.

Wailing sound when 1971 seeburg juke box is started

I amnot very familiar with Seeburgs but the trip switch activates at the end of the record playing and THAT mutes the amp. The amp should also be muted until the tone arm lands on the record. So I would suggest the problem is in the amp.

NSM Hit120 Jukebox.

there is an opto sensor the gets blocked when the tone arm is at the end of the song. It looks like a black u mounted on a circuit board. The flag that interupts the sensor is on the tone arm. The opto must be dirty so it thinks it's at the end of the song and continues to the unload sequence dispite the tone arm having just started playing.

I balanced my tonearms correctly. i think .. but the stylus jumps off the record and when i back spin (cue) the needle skates drasticly. can you walk me through the balancing proceedure and tell me how to...

Balancing the tone arm is a two step process. Set the needle weight adjustment to zero(0) and make sure that the tone arm is balanced. It should rest horizontally without touching anything. Next, set the needle weight (usually 1.5 grams). Both adjustments should be on the rear of the tone arm. That should cause the tone arm to drop toward the record and have the correct pressure for the needle. Also, check the anti-skate adjustment. If that is off, the behavior you describe will occur as well.
