My apple mini i.pad will not connect me to my yahoo account. It tells me that "my time has run out.

Reset your password. If you make a new account and password you will loose all of your old information, apps and app store purchases.

Contact Yahoo support and explain the situation to them, they should be able to help.

First Get a new (free) e-mail address from Google, Microsoft, yahoo, etc...
Then go to iTunes and login with your existing account.
Under your name, you will see account > Account info > Apple ID Summary > Select Edit next to your e-mail, and change it to your new e-mail ID.

Did you have "Find My I-Pad" turned on in Settings? If you did, you should be able to sign into your Apple account on any computer, here you go: If your iPhone iPad or iPod touch is lost or stolen

That's a setting from the online account like gmail or yahoo.

Try holding down button at top to turn iPad completely until Apple logo appears on screen. That's a complete shut down. Leave off for two minutes, turn back on. If still not able to download email, contact Apple. Sometimes it's Yahoo or other provider that's holding up the works. If case, Yahoo might suggest creating new account. See if total iPad shut down works first.

And let me tell your one thing that, when to try to login to your yahoo account on yahoo messenger, your internet connection must be responding. This you can ensure by keeping your server busy(opening websites).
The problem you are telling might be caused when you are trying to login to yahoo account through yahoo messenger and yahoo mail.
I recommend you that you open yahoo account through yahoo mail(only if you are unable to sign in to yahoo account through yahoo messenger.)
yahoo mail now-a-days is providing yahoo chat service when you sign in your yahoo account on yahoo mail.
at left side of your mail box you can see yahoo mini messenger.

1. Go to "Settings" 2. Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" 3. Select "Add Account...." 4. Select "Yahoo! Mail" 5. Type for NAME (your user name), Address (full Yahoo email address), Password (your password), Description (do not type your yahoo email address, choose something different, like "My Yahoo Account")
The problem most likely is in the Description ... if you type your email address here, it may give the error that the server cannot connect. I changed mine to "My Account" and the server connected.
