Can I install a home subwoofer with 120 volt power in a car?

Buy a car sub and do the job right. Home subs aren't designed for the temperature and humidity variations in a car.

Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I have the exact same thing happening with my KLH subwoofer and I'd love to know how to fix it!
