Symbol HotShot LS2106 sounds like it's scanning, however, no data/information is displayed once scanned. Connecting to Windows XP with a USB converted to PS2 cable. Are there reset bar codes available that could fix this problem?

The LS2106 did not support laptop mode so the PS/2 wedge needs to have a PS/2 keyboard attached to the cable. If that does not work I would suggest trying to find a 25-31617-01 Synapse adapter cable and STI85-0200 USB Synapse cable. This would allow you to connect the scanner right to the USB port and it should work without any extra programming. I believe the cost of the two cables (if you have to purchase them new) is almost as much as a new LS1203 scanner with USB cable. At least with the new scanner you would get a three year warranty.
