How do i increase the number of rings before it does to the answephone

What type of phone is this? Most home phones have a setting in them to adjust the number of rings. Retrieving voice mails requires the voice mail be set up first. To assist you further, please provide more details.

go to menu , select setting s , ring tiome ans increase it

The TRU9466 isn't an answering machine. The number of rings is controlled by whatever answering machine or voicemail system you have on your phone line. Please refer to the documentation for the answering machine or voicemail system to change the ring count.

Call your cell phone provider. I had T-Mobile and was able to get my rings changed from 4 to 8. I'm assuming all carriers have the same capability.

The usual numbers of rings before the machine answers is 2 or 4. If that is not enough, you are out of luck. If it's 2 now and you want 4, there should be a menu button you can press, and when you hear "number of rings" use the up/down arrows to increase the number. Then press the "set" button. If you have subscribed to Bell Answer, just lift the receiver and dial *94. After the beeps, enter the number of rings you want before it answers. You will hear a double beep, then hang up. Your rings will have been changed to the number you selected. Repeat as required.

goto settings and select rings volume and choose the increasing or dereasing numbers, clue(the higher the is the increase of volume,while the lower the number is the decrease of volume)

i think there is a particular limit. you cannot increase the number of ringing.

the default setting is 5 rings. if you need to change that:
set the ring to answer to higher number, however, that will put the machine in manual answering of fax.
the better setting is to rest the phone or the answer machine to a lower number of rings.
