SOURCE: Finedrive 350 sd card damaged.

My finedrive 400 has an error, corrupted mapdata. I think you have solution for this problem. Can I have a copy of the programming CD? I was thinking about buying newer one. If I can fix my finedrive unit, it will be great. This unit served me well.

SOURCE: I have a Finedrive 400

This is a common problem with these units, it happens if the unit is shut off while its writing data to the SD card.

one solution is to visit C&C wireless and pay over $100 for a map update or even send them your unit for even more $. see http://www.finedrive-acc.com/shop.cart?action=ITEM&prod_id=F400-08CP

The other solution was to send it to Fine Digital but they closed their doors in the US so they no longer support us customers. Because of this I made a DVD with map data I purchased from them before they closed and I added much better instructions; this DVD updates the firmware in the unit and loads the last map data issued to the SD card. you would need a PC with a DVD drive and SD card reader to use it. you can find these DVDs on ebay for $18 which basically covers my costs only.

I have a finedrive 350 does it take a speacial sd card or will any sd card work

Any less than 8GB should work. These GPS' were made before 16GB SD cards were available, so they are not configured for that much memory.

Loading music to finedrive 400

you have to use an SD card with your MP3s in it, I dont think there is much room left in the factory SD card with maps and you probably dont want to risk erasing it anyway. just remember to put the map card back in before navigating.

Finedrive 350 sd card damaged.

I have a cd with the programming, including the maps. If you send me a blank with a SASE, I will copy the disk and send it back to you. Or, if you'd rather, send the data card and I can reload it and return it to you. I have learned from FineDrive that no further updates of the 2005 maps on the cd are expected to be forthcoming. NavTour has not answered me yet. They may be able to fix any battery or card problems.
