My Pan. dvd recorder has f60 on display and will not function.

I can not get my dvd/vcr recorder to operate. I have tried un plugging it, holding power down, etc. Everything listed in manual, but have had no luck. Display shows ''F60'' and locks up unit. Can anyone tell me any solution to this. Is this an expensive problem to fix? Any help would appreciated.

SOURCE: Panasonic DMR-ES46V shows F60 Error

F60 is a general error code usually related to a failure on the video processing board. If you have access to spare/replacement parts, this is an easy error to correct by simply replacing the board. You can recognize this board as the small board with the onboard HDMI port in the DMR-EZ47V model, and has the mini cables connecting to it. It floats above the rest of the boards in the middle back of the machine.

SOURCE: F60 Error message on DMR-ES40V unit

Unplug the unit.
Plug back in and wait till you see 000000.
Press and hold the power button in at least ten seconds or until the clock shows up.
This worked to fix mine.

SOURCE: F60 ERROR CODE ON PANASONIC DMR-ES40V

Unplug the unit for 24-hours. I know, it should not take that long, but in this case I tried shorter periods WITHOUT success!

Just before plugging in unit depress and hold POWER button. You are supposed to hold it for 30-seconds after plugging in, but in my case I did it for 60-seconds. This results in a MASTER RESET that clears all errors, resets interlocks, etc. I could not get past a DVD failure problem, but when I discovered this process everything worked fine!!

Good luck! Hope it works for you too.

Panasonic dmr-es40v

Ron, F60 is a general error code usually related to a failure on the video processing board. You could fix this by just replacing that board. Try to place it in standby mode first by unplugging it, wait a couple of minutes and then plug it back in. When the 000000's starts, hold down the power button for 15-20seconds. The unit should then be in standby mode. From this mode try to start it normally using the power button and see if it cleared the error. You could also try a complete reset by powering the unit off and press and hold the "Stop" and "Channel Up" buttons at the same time for a few seconds while powering the unit up. Hope this helps, good luck.

Code F60 on DMR-Ez47V

Unfortunately, the F60 error means that the video processing board (digital PCB board with the HDMI port on it) has a failure. Often this happens when the capacitors on the board fail. Replacing the board or the failed components on the board is usually necessary. Some of the components may be available here: https://www.encompassparts.com/model/MSCDMREZ47V/_/_/Panasonic/DMREZ47V/DVD_RECORDER .

First you can try to reset the unit. Unplug it. Then plug it in after a few minutes. Then when you see the string of 0's, press and hold the power button. Then try to power up the unit normally. Alternatively, press and hold Stop and Hold while you power on the DMR-EZ47V.

I hope this helps. Unfortunately, I am not sure which part number applies to the part you need from the PC Boards available from the site above.

How to fix code F60 problem?

Defect of Digital P.C.B. processing board and needs to be replaced. F60 is a result of a low or missing voltage on the digital board. Often the culprit would be capacitors that have leaked.

But first try a "cold boot". Unplug the device, wait 2 minutes, then plug it back in. When the 00000 display starts, hold down the POWER button for at least 10 seconds which puts the device into "standby mode". Wait another 10 seconds then press the POWER button.

Remote control

re-sync remote by pressing "enter"/"OK" while holding number "1" or "2" or "3" - the proper number should be displaying on unit as RC1, RC2, or RC3

Loading text on screen (nothing else) Switch off at mains for short and long periods, no change. All Facia buttons inoperative. Regards. Graham.

as i have posted on the other problem, very similar to this, the problem is power failure in the unit's system like faulty capacitators....which when they fail will not allow the correct amount of electricity into it's main operating "motherboard" of the DVD and or vcr....if not...try to hold down the power button next time it goes off...for a while and see if it turns off again...or un-plug and re-plug, or another alternative is to see what happens when you un-plug it and leave it for about a few days, then plug it back in. With mine there is some flashing, but it goes back to working normaly, functioning perfectly, dvd side works with playback and record, vcr plays and records..etc (until it goes back into its next 'loading' seizure). Gud luck with this one people =) [im refering to my unit for these solutions, so don't blame me if it doesn't work specifically for yours], if you are planing to getting it reparied for somthing more than $100 AUS..then i don;t recomend. beacuse at that price it isnt worth it. You can get brand new units, of better reliance for about $300 AUS nowadays. =)
