Problems Occasionally, image on screen is chaotic, to use terminology from the manufacturer operating instructions. Chaotic in the sense there is a blurred red aspect of the picture on the screen. It can last a few minutes and up to an hour or so. There are no cars, motorcycles. lamps, etc near the tv as to the actions presented in the operating instructions. There is a DVD player and surround sound hooked up however they are not used on a regular basis. There is a stereo system is same entertainment center that is played primarily in the back yard. Is there anything with this model that could possibly the root cause of the tv's performance problem? Thank you.

What kind of cables are you using to hook up the DVD to the TV? Are they they composite, component, or S-Video? What are the connectors you're plugging both ends of the cables into labeled? Are you plugging the audio cables into the TV or directly into the sound system?

Thanks for the solution. A bit late for me I got so fed up that i went out and bought lcd 42" instead feel much happier with the quality of it. Plasma !!!! never again cheers all the same

disconnect the x and y sustain boards from the power supply. then check the flex connector to the screen and reseat them. check connections on c boards at bottom and screen connectors. reconnect the power supply only after all flex cables are reconnected or charge from supply will burn flex cables. if still preent replace correcsponding c board. if still no fix replace panel.
