I am doing a pro-bono job for a coworker and am having trouble figuring out why when the power button is hit, the relay clicks and the "Timer/Stand-by" light flashes then goes dead. Relay maybe? Any help would be appreciated.

If you have 3 flashing red segments in the circle you just got the RROD. Your system's motherboard was fried. IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. It was xbox's and you have been playing a ticking time bomb. Usually Xbox will always replace it for you pro-bono with a fixed version. What sucks is no more live or games for 2-3 months.
hello here is how you get your remote to work...make sure tv is on step 1.hold down code search button till you see the red light step2. let go of code search button and hit TV once light should blink step3. press and release the power button while pointong a TV u ((may have to press the power button several times)) once the Tv powers off press the enter button once step4. press tv button and hit power
Low HV Shutdown: On the D Board. Check IC8004/pin 7 should be 7.4v. Check IC8006/pin 2 should be 2.5v if lower will trigger shutdown by causing pin 1 to turn on. Check IC8006/pin 3 reference voltage 2.2v. IC8006/pin 1 normally at 0v. If high turns D5007 ON which turns the latch circuit Q6532, Q6530, and Q6527 ON and turns the AC relay RY6501 OFF.
And NOTE: 6 blinks also can be Low B+ protection.
Unregulated 7.5 v from the power supply to 5v reg IC504 on the A Board. 5v to M Board Q2314
to CPU IC2300/pin 43. If 5v missing set will shutdown with 6 blinks.
