Westinghouse oven no gas but supply and power is good

Your subject line says dryer but the text is about a stove.... This applies to your stove. Check to see if something fell down the back of your stove, there usually is a gas shut off at the floor that may have been inadvertently turned off. You may have to pull out the stove slightly, to see behind the stove.

My ariston oven won't turn on. The stove works and

check and see if the broil works in the oven ,2 if it turns on meaning the element in the top turns red then this generaly means both side of the switch are good. and you need to replace the element on the bottom of the stove.now turn off the stove .1st unplug the stove. 2nd there are 2 screws at the back of the stove on a metal plate which is attached to the element take them off.3rd gently pull out the element about 3 inches until you see 2 wires. there are 2 ways the wires could be connected either push on or by screws if you dont see a screw abviusly its push on. just grab the end of the wire ON the connecter and grab the elemnt at the connecter and wigglethe connector back and forth while pullin on the connecter. wala. now locate the model number and go to amazon.com or your local parts house and install in reverse

How do you change the oven element on a Westinghouse PAJ143W as the element is hidden

To replace Westinghouse PAJ143W oven element you need to look at the back of oven with a torch etc, and you will see the element ends go into the back through clips on each side. At the top of these clips in the middle there is a bit where you get a screwdriver to push down and lever forward and it will come out a bit you do this on both sides. Then lift the clips and element 'both sides'' together and carefully pull forward making sure you're careful with the wiring and pull out a little making sure you stop the wires slipping back while you swap elements. Make sure you put plate at front back in place to keep element up off the bottom, it has two reswts for element on it.

My stove poped and went off. I tripped the breaker and now the oven will not heat. Neither the top or bottom unit.

First I would look at the heating element in the oven and make sure it is all in one piece. there are usually one on the bottom and one on top. sometimes they will burn apart and short out to stove. if they look ok then do a quick check, I would turn off all knob on the stove top and oven. then try to reset the breaker. hopefully it resets ok. then turn on one at a time and see which burner or oven element has a short. when you find the bad burner or stove element it will trip the breaker again.
hope this helps

When on "bake" the top element won't go on. However when on "broil" the element (top) works! So it's obviously not the element - any ideas?

I do not think yoy have a problem as most ovens operate off of the bottom element only. The top element is for broiling only.
