Epson troubleshooting WONT AIRPRINT APPLE DEVICES, MAC AND IPAD WONT FIND IT. WORKS OK WIFI PRINTING FROM WINDOWS 7 PC

I'm not too familiar with XP245. If it's an AirPrint printer it's no problem. If it's AirPrint you just select your document on your iPad to print and if your iPad recognizes the AirPrint printer it prints immediately. If it's not AirPrint, I'm not real sure about all the info and don't want to tell you wrong, but if you check the Apple website you can probably find the needed information.

Apple Airprint:

AirPrint allows users to wirelessly print photos, emails, web pages and other documents without the need to install device drivers, saving time and making for a seamless experience. Both your Apple device and your Canon wireless printer must be connected to the same wireless network connection.
A firmware update for the printer may be needed to support AirPrint. You will need a PC (Mac or Windows), a USB cable and the Firmware utility (available through the Drivers & Software link above) to perform this update.

Google Cloud Print:

Google Cloud Print allows you to print to your Canon wireless printer whether you're in the same room as your printer, or on another continent. You may need to register your Canon wireless printer before using this function.
A firmware update for the printer may be needed to support Google Cloud Print. You will need a PC (Mac or Windows), a USB cable and the Firmware utility (available through the Drivers & Software link above) to perform this update.

Printing from Email

Print from E-mail allows you to print attachment files easily. You only attach a picture or a document from your computer or smartphone and send the e-mail with the attached file.

depends on the printer model....
if you have a recent type of printer with Airprint capability it is very easy to setup wireless.
however if you have an old printer with only a USB-cable you'll need another device to get it working:

Print command central.

- as this printer is 7 years old and has no WiFi function it will not work with an iPad I'm afraid.

How are you printing to the device? USB, network, shared?

To print from an iPad you will need to either have a printer that is compatible with Apple's Airprint or have an app that allows you to print through your network. 

The printers that are compatible with Airprint are listed at the bottom of this page:

To print through your network without an Airport compatible printer you will need an app like PrintCentral.  The app and instructions can be found here:

You can unofficially use air print to print from your ipad to your printer. The only catch is the ipad must be on the same network as the printer is. use at your own risk
IF you are using a pc to access the printer there is a free application to allow you to do that. Found here:

1. Make sure you have itunes 10.1 or higher
2. Make sure the printer is setup as a shared printer on your local PC
3. Printer and iOS device should share the same Wifi connection
4. Make sure you have full administrator privileges to enable / disable services on your PC
5. Download AirPrint installer (Found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?yadd9be20rkdpe5)
6. Follow the on screen instructions for installing. And when finished Windows Firewall will prompt you allow or deny AirPrint features to be shared over networks. Click on Allow access button.
7. I have had success with this with Canon printers but offically ony a hand ful of HP printers work with this. Still, worth a shot.

Mac options Air Print Activator found here: http://netputing.com/airprintactivator/ The only catch is it's Mac OSX 10.6.5 and above. (Snow Leopard) This is a free version.

no panic if not, you can still print from your ipad/iphone etc to a printer using a third party app. the one that seems particularly popular is print n share which i use. good luck

I can't currently seem to find out whether or not the Lexmark X4650 supports iPad AirPrint, but there's one very easy way to find out - try printing a document to it and see if it comes out!
