What is all the plastic tubing bundled in the back of my Kenmore Coldspot for?

What is the coiled tubing in the back of the refrigerator side for? Both ends go down into the same drain. Makes no sense to me.

You don't say if it is inside or outside. The tubing you are talking about could be either the condensation drains or the condenser coils for the Freon.

Sorry, I am a newbie to refrigerator issues. I finally found out that it is called the reservoir for the water supply. It is located INSIDE the fridge. This is not connected to my issue. Now on to the next possibiliy. Thanks, though for answering.

What would cause my Kenmore Coldspot ice dispenser to freeze up where the water enters from the tubing into the ice maker itself?

Small leak in the tubing. remove ice-maker, cut tubing about half an inch back and reconnect ensuring the tubing is completely on the ice-maker.

Water is forming in the "cool" part of the fridge. It's a 1998 Kenmore Coldspot. Is there a drain tube that might be clogged?

Yes, actually, there is. It should be located just below or behind the evaporator coils. You're probably going to have to take the shelves out and remove the ceiling and/or the back panel off to see it. Remember to disconnect the power, and good luck.

It's a Kenmore Coldspot that was manufactured in 1998. There's a tube that gets plugged, water freezes underneath the shelf in the freezer and water starts dripping down into the main chamber. I cannot...

The tube is located in the bottom of the freezer compartment under the coils. To access it, remove the back panel and then the floor of the freezer. Remove all of the ice. Melt the ice that is clogging your drain tube. You should see the drain tube somewhere along the bottom of the back wall. I use my wife's hair dryer or hot water when I do this to my refrigerator.

I have a Kenmore Coldspot Top Freezer refrigerator. Everything in the freezer is really, really cold, but the refrigerator is not. I tried to clean the coils at the bottom, but I could only get to the one...

There is an ice blockage between the freezer and the refrigerator. Cold air passes from the freezer into the refrigerator in the back behind the plastic housing with the temperature controls. Empty your freezer and remove the bottom panel. You will see that everything is frozen. Carefully remove this ice until you can clear the passage to the refrigerator. It may be helpful to remove the temperature control housing in the refrigerator as well to see when the ice is cleared.

Kenmore Coldspot side by side fridge/freezer no longer cold.

The black thing is the compressor. It should run warm but not hot. This usually indicates it's time to clean the condenser coils under the refrigerator. Try using a long soft brush and your vacuum cleaner.

Kenmore coldspot not making ice, and not cooling in the bottom

Your refrigerator is frosted up. Remove the inside panel of your freezer. Defrost the ice out of the coils and check the heater and bi-metal. If both are good then your defrost timer is bad. If one is bad replace and you have it fixed. Good luck.
