Pull the rubber dust cover back you will see the electrical wires going to the bulb you can pull the old connector off from there it is not inside the housing, the bulb is held in by a small spring clip at the back of the bulb socket.

SOURCE: replacing headlight bulbs on a 2006 chrysler sebring

Behind the headlight you should see a eletrical wires running to the headlight section. There will be a 2 inch round plastic ring. You grap the back of the bulb and turn it to the right which will release the bulb and the socket. You pull out the bulb and replace it the same way. If this doesnt help then get back to me.

No again. there are 2 9/32 bolts above the light assembly, remove those. One is long one is short. After removing those, the assembly can be coaxed out where you can access the bulb. It goes back in alot easier.

Headlight wiring diagrams

You can buy the replacement pigtail connector at the auto parts store the connector plugs on the back of the bulb inside the tube on the back side of the headlight box you remove the rubber dust cover and pull the old connector off the bulb plug in the connector on the pigtail and splice the wires to the old headlight wires all of this is done outside the headlight box there is no need to remove the headlight box.

2004 Chrysler crossfire won't go into gear please help ASAP!!

It's the brake pedal switch that has either a broken wire or needs to be replaced. They are cheap and only take about 15 to replace.

Looking for a pigtail connector for crankshaft sensor on a 2005 crossfire.

you will need to match this up, you can see if the dealer sells this but most times they say you need to wire harness . what i do is match it up and then try to cross to an earlier year and even a different sensor.let me see what i can find here....well hate to say this but you are in for a haul, this is a problem with the connector and is sold as a wiring harness. they sell just about every other connector but that one, i think junk yard or try the web and see if someone has a harness they will sell or cut connector off, sorry.

I'm having a problem removing the headlight assembly from my 2004 chrysler crossfire, i've removed the 2 screws from the top and removed 1 from below through the wheel well, are there two screws...

Last I checked Chrysler had changed it's headlight mounting from external screws to just the two adjusting screws. Looking down from the top, you should be able to see two Torx head screws that are used to adjust the headlight assembly. The remove teh head light assembly you remove those and the assembly should come right out. Both of these screws or adjusters will be 6 to 8 inches long. I hope your not removing this to change the headlight it self. Chrysler has been using the insert bulbs for several generations and to replace the bulb you only have to unlock the collar on the back of the light assembly and pull and then replace the bulb.

Dirt inside my headlight

  • Open the hood of your Honda Civic, and identify the headlight assembly that has the dirt inside of it. Depending on the year of your Civic and side of the headlight, you may need to move the power steering reservoir to gain access to the light assembly.
  • 2 Squeeze the clips on both sides of the headlight assembly to release the headlight connectors. Use your fingers to loosen the headlight, and pull the small plastic tab to loosen the rubber gasket from the frame.
  • 3 Unplug the wiring harness from the back of the bulb. Twist the bulb, to remove it from the headlamp assembly.
  • 4 Locate, and remove, the screws that hold the headlight casing in place. Once the screws have been removed, gently guide the headlight casing from the location.
  • 5 Inspect the assembly under a bright light, identifying any cracks that may be in the casing. If there is a crack, use a silicone sealant to seal the crack.
  • 6 Dry the assembly, using a towel and or hairdryer.
  • 7 Replace the assembly back into your Honda Civic, and secure it by replacing the screws you removed.
  • 8 Replace the rear gasket where the bulb is inserted with a new gasket. Insert the bulb, and twist it into place.
  • 9 Reattach the bulb wiring harness.
  • 10 Turn the lights on, and re-aim the light assembly. good job your done

Passenger side headlight assembly removal, is there more than 2 bolts, if so where

You can replace the headlights on your Crossfire easily by yourself. headlight image by Carbonbrain from Fotolia.com

When a headlight burns out on your Chrysler Crossfire, you do not need to rush to the repair shop to have it replaced. You can access the headlights in your Crossfire from within the engine compartment, allowing you to change the headlight yourself. The Crossfire uses an H7U headlight bulb, which you can find at auto parts retail stores or at a Chrysler dealership.
    Difficulty: Easy

    1. 1 Open the hood of your Crossfire to gain access to the headlight assemblies. Press down on the tab on top of the light assembly cover. Remove the cover and set it aside.
    2. 2 Pull the electrical connection free of the bulb socket. Press the spring clamps securing the bulb into the light assembly. Pull the bulb straight out of position.
    3. 3 Insert the new bulb in the same position. Ensure that the spring clamps secure the bulb. Press the electrical connection into place.
    4. 4 Replace the light assembly cover and press it into position until it clicks, securing it in place. Repeat the same process on the opposite headlight if required. Close the hood and test the headlight operation.
