Help, please... thanks
SOURCE: no HDMI video output from AVR-588 receiver to plasma TV ???
You can also use a digital coax cable (color orange) to go into coax 1 for DVD coax 2 for cable box. Just make sure to set the coax in input settings. The coax cables are a little cheaper than the optical cables and work just as well.

If your TV has an HDMI input, hook up the PS3 w/an
HDMI cable to the TV. This will give you a high def picture (set up the
PS3 to output the max resolution your TV displays). That will take care
of the video side.
Next hook up an optical cable from the PS3 to the receiver. In the PS3
menu, you have to change the audio settings to output the sound via the
optical cable.
Finally to get sound out of the receiver to the speakers, you have to
setup the receiver source input. For example if you setup the PS3 to
play thru "VCR" input, then you have to make sure the VCR input is
setup to use either optical 1 or optical 2 for sound (whichever one you
have the optical cable plugged in from the PS3).
SOURCE: We have a Denon AVR
HDMI input connect as follows:
1. Connect an HDMI cable from the Cable box to the TV/CBL HDMI input on the Denon.
2. Connect an HDMI cable from the Xbox to the DVD/HDP input on the Denon.
3. Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI out-put on the Denon to an input on the Samsung.
You don’t have to use the optical output from these to devices since the HDMI cable allows for the transfer of both audio and video, if you have them extra use them in addition to the HDMI cable and last,
4. On front of denon after you setup and assign your optical connections, if you use them, once you select TV/CBL or DVD/HDP as a source, press the input mode button to select auto
SOURCE: Have put an optical cable from optical digital out
You need to do digital input assignment. Go to SETUP, DIGITAL INPUT ASSIGNMENT, set OPTICAL 1 for your input (DVD).

It may may the the AT+T box is really not compatible with the AVR or the Pioneer.
Check the specs on those input/outputs for the Ubox and the receiver.
See if they agree. If so, try another hookup method like HDMI ( which carries the audio too)
