Tv will not turn over from bbc to other stations

That depends on how your TV is set up for radio reception.

Some TVs have a dedicated FM/AM radio tuner. This requires signals from both forms of radio antenna.

More commonly now though, digital TV includes a wide range of radio stations broadcast as part of the TV range. In the UK, the radio stations are grouped in the 700+ channel range. e.g. 701 is BBC Radio 1.

You're picking up the big transmitter in Norfolk that transmits for a different TV region.

You need to do a Full Factory Reset tuning rather than just a rescan.

Rescan simply looks at the place holders where the old channels were stored and refreshes them. A Factory Reset (A.K.A. Shipping Condition) wipes the channel memories and starts again fresh. Then remember to set your region so the TV knows how to sort just for your local stations.

Can you provide a link to the app? I looked and didn't find anything official for Android.

(Just to be clear, this is the BBC Radio app, right? If your problem is the BBC News app, I may have a different suggestion.)

Do you have the latest version of the app? It appears that BBC Radio just updated the app a week ago on 31July2014 (Version 1.5.3), but it requires iOS 6.0 or later and is optimized for iPhone 5. I see you have an iPhone 4.

Do you have iOS 6 on your phone? And do you have the latest version of the app?

iOS 6 is supposedly completely compatible with iPhone 4s, and it is also supposedly compatible with iPhone 4 except iOS 6 on:

• iPhone 4, does not support:
  • Siri
  • Maps flyover
  • Turn-by-turn navigation
  • FaceTime on 3G
  • Hearing aid support

So, it seems to me that this app should still work on your phone, unless you don't have the proper operating system or you haven't upgraded to the new version.

Look at your station line up. Comcast provides a BBC station for its viewers. If you can't find it, call your provider and ask them if they carry the BBC channel and what the number is.

I have the same problems with my Pirelli modem in Austria (A1) trying to play BBC radio stations. I connected my Denon CEOL RCD-N7 to a different network (SilverServer in Austria) and it played the BBC radio stations swimmingly (not sure what modem was used btw)... I have another internet radio at home (Reciva based) and surprisingly, that one plays the BBC stations fine using the WMA streams.
I do have a workaround now for the Denon system: I have added the following URLs (AAC streams) to "My Added Stations" on RadioDenon.com and they work like a charm:

Did you have it before? If you are going through a cable box switching to a digital channel and tv could have it on another station. Call your provider.

reset to factory defaults and start again, fixed my problems

try putting tv in Analogue then press menu you should now be able to enter setup menu and do first time Installation
