Did a wire come off inside, when the cable cord and the VHF/UHF connection on the back of the tv was completely pulled out of set?
No. No wire should come out. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

You can run the cable signal into your vcr, and then use composite cables from the vcr to your tv (red, white and yellow). You will have to use your VCR to change channels though.

Not if the TV set has Audio/Video inputs on the back and a working remote that will let you switch inputs.

You can try to attempt to solder it back on, but the metal is thick and hard to get it to stick with a solder iron..
Most likely you should get a new tuner, which depending on your expertise, may require a pro.
You can take your model number to www.partstore.com and search for your tuner and order it.
Otherwise look to spend between 200 to 275 bucks for a pro to do it.

Well let me ask some questions!
1) UHF and VHF are types of off air antenna source signals.
2) Cable TV has both the Analog 'UHF and VHF' signals on them along with the new Digital TV signal sources.
A) Is you TV have a Digital Tuner built into it or are you using a CABLE TV box to hook up to your TV?
Blessings always,
