My maytag atlantis mav6200aww stops at the rinse cycle. I have to manually move dial to get to rinse and spin.This happens on all cycles. Thanks for any assistance.

If the washer is working properly in the wash cycle & not the rinse or spin cycle, I would suspect a defective timer especially with the delay of 30 mins you described. Replace the timer with this part.
replace the timer it has a bad spot inside of it in this segment of the timer and isn't passing voltage for spin,when you forward it then it gets power again,they do wear out too
Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
Yes there is a small motor just like in most wall clocks the gears strip or the gear bushing slips and refuses to advance the dial. you have to replace the whole timer unless you know MacGyver microsurgery
