Depends on the slush machine. if it's a cab or ugolini, it won't go into defrost or it'll just go warm instead of refrigerated. easy way to test on a cab faby- put the timer on defrost when the product is not frozen, turn the right auger on then off. if the compressor did not go on and off, the thermostat is bad. same for a ugolini, but it'll work with both sides, so turn one off. if you have a bunn ultra 2, the display will let you know there is a thermostat issue. if you have a bunn cds 2, it works the same as a ugolini.

Why is my oven overheating

My best guess is a bad thermostat. I do not know this unit but the thermostat would be the first thing I check.Try setting it to a lower temperature and see if it runs cooler (measure with oven thermometer). If so it is a sure sine the thermostat is bad.

Tempeture gage goes up and down and less heat

You may have a weak water pump, bad thermostat, or an air locked system. Flushing the system is the best remedy first to pin point things. Then test the thermostat by taking it out and putting it in a pot of boiling water. If the thermostat opens, it is ok, if it doesn't it's bad. Let me know if this helps, and after you try that, if it doesnt work we can run further tests let me know

Not knowing how old the unit is, it's possible that both elements could be bad, especially if you ru out of hot water quickly. If your sure the breaker is okay and you know how to use a voltage meter. Check the voltage at the thermostats and elements. While you are looking at the thermostat(s), press the red reset button and give it about 5 minutes and see if you hear the water heating up. If you have voltage at the thermostats and the elements. Turn the power off and check for continuity through the elements. If you don not have continuity, the element is bad. If all seems to check out, you probably have a bad upper thermostat. Check all connections and inspect the wires.

I have a 2001 VW Passat 1.6S. I have just had the cylinder head gasket, timing belt, water pump and thermostat replaced. When the thermostat is removed the engine runs perfectly. However when it is...

it could be the temmperature sensor, however its sound like the thermostat is still bad, this happens on occasion where you get a brand new part that has a factory defect

Floor heater won't light

At the gas valve on the furnace, jump the two connections where the thermostat wires attach to, I think TH and TP may be marked on terminals. If it lights, you have bad wire(s) going to thermostat. If it still refuses to light, you may be looking at a new gas valve.

Whirlpoool dryer not heating replaced the thermostat

Dont know the model number you have, but most of your items are located in the back of the unit. You need to make sure you replaced the thermostat, and not just the thermal fuse. The thermal fuse sits on top of the element shield, the thermostat is lower, down where the wires go into the element. You may have changed the thermal fuse, but the thermostat may be out. You will need to check (with an ohm meter) all the componants to find the trouble. If that thermal cut-off has went bad again, change the thermostat with it. Be sure you have very good ventilation all the way through, bad vents will cause problems like this all the time. Let me know if you need parts info. Let me know a model number as well.
