How do I fix error 6 on my treadmill?

E6 Error: Controller malfunction. Resolution: Ensure that the cables connecting the console and the controller are secure. If any of the cables/connectors appear loose, completely power off and unplug the treadmill before unplugging and reattaching the cables.Sep 23, 2021

Try this:
Switch the treadmill off and then on again.
Push the "minus" speed button and the "stop" button simultanuously.

If all is well you will now have entered the maintenance mode.

Next push the "plus" speed button and the "stop"button smultanuously.
Now you've reached the error mode.

Push the "plus" or "minus" speed button to browse the error codes untill you've reached "L er".
The push start to erase the message.

Turn the power off and then on again to restart the treadmill.

With any luck the error has disappeared and the treadmill will function again. If not.....you'll have to contact Kettler.

Hi There, L5 error should refer to the "LS" error which looks up to a speed problem. When you start the machine up, it boots fine and then when you press start or go is says err ls ? If the walking belt doesn't move at all when you try to start it, listen for a "Click" on that lower board when start is pressed..... If the walking belt moves for a second and then stops and the console says err ls, then you may have a speed sensor problem. These control boards are repaired by Jatinah Electronics who can be found with a google search. Good Luck!

see the comentary ERR1 indicates a speed issue. In this case, the motor speed as reported from the optic sensor differs
from the speed setting.
Analysis: Optic sensor signal issue -- Either the optic sensor signal is not right, or it is read incorrectly, or
the signal is not reaching the display.
Run the software calibration for easy diagnostic and fix it. God bless you

ERR E-7 indicates that the DC incline motor and the variable resistor (VR) are not synchronized. Signal from the VR is not being received properly. Mechanical and/or electrical calibration is needed to reset this error message.

1) You have out of adjustment the sensor reed switch,see the schematic.by 1/8" or 3mms aprox.
2) With this you will fix it.
3) However if the problem persist, you must check if the display board is o.k or faulty.
4) Test the 5VDC for IC( Including EPROM, ROM,etc) Tight flexible cable for Display Board vs Lower Board(Main Controller Board).
5) Since the Lower Board send the Power Supply coming from the Transforme you must Test it, and then power supply for +5Vdc.
6) You must have Strong Conclusion if the problem is Upper Board or Lower Board(Main Controller Board) .
Finally The Lower Board Control 90% functions of the Treadmills.

This is probably a 1) faulty speed sensor or
2)the speed sensor is not plugged in properly.
3)Its also possibly a faulty motor control board or
4) lower board. T
he error codes will differ between makes and models but could be e1.
However if you send the complete information, if can not fix you treadmill, how model, mark, serial number, I can handle more specific.

Btw...This error occurs when the belt is "pushed" by the runner. For example when you put weight on the handlebar and the push your feet backwards.
