SOURCE: Dell studio 1735 Change vista to XP
I would not give up your Vista but just add XP to your computer. I too need to run some XP programs on my Mac for my work. There are two programs to help you do this. One is VmWare and the other is Parallels. These programs allow you to run another OS in a "virtual machine" I use Parallels on my Mac and can drag and drop files from one OS to the other. You will be able to run you XP programs and keep your original OS in place. This will protect your warranty/service relationship with Dell and give you what you want.
Not often do you really get to have your cake and eat it too but this is one of them.
Cheers
SOURCE: Where is the eject cd button on dell studio 1735
It is on the far right of the Media Control Buttons display.
You can see a layout of these buttons on Page 10 of the quick reference guide for your laptop.http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/1735/en/qrg/NU140A00MR.pdf
The button is a capacitive button (meaning it needs only your touch and doesn't make a "click" sound or feel)
I hope this helps, and have a great day!
