My iphone screen won't light up

You could use something like whatsapp as long as you are messaging another smartphone. It works with iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone.

First, try resetting the phone, press the Home button and Power button simultaneously until the screen goes blank. If you don't see the Apple logo, press the power button to turn the phone on. Have your friend try texting you. If it still doesn't receive the text, try removing the SIM card and reinserting it. Try another test. One last measure is to go into Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If none of these work, you will have to contact your carrier as SMS is a carrier specific service.

Look at the signal strength your phone is receiving from your cell phone carrier or wireless service. You may have difficulty receiving instant messages or messages may be delayed if your phone is getting a weak signal. Move to a location in which you get better reception.

2Go into your phone's text messaging inbox. Look for any "warning" messages that your inbox is getting full. Alternately, compare the text message capacity your phone can hold with the number you currently have stored. Delete some messages to reduce the size of your inbox, as having a full inbox can result in problems receiving instant messages.

3Sign off from AIM Mobile and then sign on again with your screen name and password. This can "refresh" your status and alert your buddies that you're available for chat.

4Sign off from the regular AOL services, such as the AOL email service, if you're signed on with the same screen name that you're using with AIM Mobile. Instant messages automatically go to the AOL service and not AIM Mobile if you're using the same screen name at the same time with both services.

It is something that can be saved. You will need to replace the screen and digitilzer or reset all settings. You can google scrren and digitilizer and you can purchase it online and install it yourself. Or you can take it to a phone repair store and get it repaired for about 40-100 dollars. hope this helps.

You broke the screen. The only fix, is to replace the screen.

most probably you have disabled the CLI thing. In which your cell tries to prevent your number being shown to the person you are calling.
It is usually under Network settings, or Call settings (CLI/Show my number/Send my Number).
