I don't know exactly which model of the Thomson Lyra you have, but you can visit the Support page on their website, find your particular player model, and download software updates that might help solve this problem.

Had "File System Corrupt!" message appear on my
RCA H115A after a bit over a year. PC wouldn't recognize it, and it wouldn't
stay turned on.
Following advice (thanks folks), I uncovered the screw under the barcode and
popped the back with the help of my knife. I didn't notice that the connection
from the hard drive was loose, but pulled it out, wiped everything off, and
reconnected. It worked!
They don't give this at the help desk, but it seems to be a common problem with
many models. Looks like the connection isn't very tight.

Try a format,
Over a period of time your info can get corrupt from transering music back and forth.
To format plug it in to usb.
Go to my computer
It shows up as a removably disc, usually drive f:
Right click on drive f: (or the approriate drive) and click format.
Let me know what happens, you will have reload the player, also try bypassing the software you are using to tranfer, by opening up drive f: and clicking and dragging your music into it , or you can copy and paste it into drive f:
