DLink states the login issue has been fixed with firmware v1.04 3/28/07
Remember to get the right one for your unit model. You must connect a RJ45 cable to the router and computer you have downloaded the firmware to and remember which directory it's in. When it asks for the firmware put in the target location (c:\my documents\xxxxx) of the firmware file. Good luck.

First check to be sure the ip address of the router IS 192.168.0.1, do this by clicking Start/Run and in the Run window type CMD and hit the enter key, this will give you the MS/DOS command window, at the courser type ipconfig /all, then check the ip address shown for the gateway which is your router. If the ip is correct, put a cat 5 cable from the router to the computer and type http://192.168.0.1 if that is the correct ip address and if it does not give you the logon page for the router reset to router to factory defaults as per owners manual. if this works please rate the solution as a FixYa. Thanks BPCS
You will need to logon the router via the computer, if you cannot connect wirelessly, you may have to use a cat5 cable between the router and computer. The user manual that came with the router will show you how to do this. If you do not have the manual. Do the following: open internet explorer, in the address window type the IP of the router "example" http://192.168.2.1 your router IP should be on the bottom of the router. If not click start/run, type ipconfig at the > the router ip is listed at "default ateway". once you get to the routers logon page enter one of the following: username "leave blank" – username " admin " -or- username "admin" - password 1234 –or- leave password field blank.once logged on the router . if you are wireless, after a reset you need to connect with the router using an RJ45 lan connector lead.
Reboot your notebook, while connect to router and then type in the default address for the set up page normally 192.168.0.1
