be careful of Samsung's, they are notorious for LCD panel tab failures. Do your homework first !!! There are plenty of reviews that backup my suggestion.

That 46" LCD panel will caot you more than the TV iself, you can try contacting www.shopjimmy.com to see if he has his panel in stock, you may have to get the information as printed on the label on the back of the panel.

Sorry, any damage to the screen can not be repaired. Replacement screens cost an arm and a leg. The cost would be more than the tv is worth. Basically, it cheaper to replace the TV than fixing it.

If lcd tv screen got hit by some thing then lcd panel got cracked and does show distorted lines or cracks instead of picture and lcd panel have to be replaced that would cost you 70% to 80% of new tv price.
New TV is better option.

There is no way you can fix a broken screen of a LCD set,the only way to fix it is by replacing the complete panel wich will cost more then a new set.
