Ran it last night, woke up this morning and finished light was not on. NO lights on and it didn't drain completely. Checked the circuit and also the bucket for blockage, neither helped.

Sounds like it isn't getting power. Check the circuit breaker that controls the circuit the dishwasher is wired into.

There should be a thermal fuse located inside the console on the control board. Most dishwashers have them mounted this way. It's a white square plastic piece, or silver component with two wires connected to it. If the thermal fuse is bad it will give the same symptoms you are describing. To check, you need to turn off the circuit breaker to the dishwasher and remove the screws holding the console in place. This should be the four or five screws at the top of the door (with the door open). Carefully lift the console off the door (support the wires) and flip it over so you can see the control board. The thermal fuse should be mounted somewhere on the control board. The fuse will read a SHORT if good, an OPEN if bad. The fuse is not resettable (meaning you can't reuse it) and must be replaced. If you need further assistance let me know. I hope this helps you. PS There should be a tech sheet located inside the lower kick panel under the door. This includes all the schematics and troubleshooting tips. You may use this as a reference too.

It sounds like the thermal fuse in the control console has blown.
Turn power off to unit.
Remove the outer door panel and then the console.
Remove the black plastic cover from over the circuit board if it has one.
You should see the thermal fuse clipped to the circuit board housing.
If you have an ohm meter, check for continuity across it, it should read closed.
If you don't have a meter, unplug the wires from it and and hook them together.
Turn power back on to unit, hold door switches down and cancel cycle. The washer should drain the water.
If this doesn't work, check your door switches to make sure they are closing properly.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Dishwasher DU850DWGX1 won't completely drain

Commonly this is result of low water pressure or hose height/length

As long as the water is below the heating element and the dishes are getting clean its actually normal. Sometimes the pressure or hose length/height meets specs but will not always drain all water.

But as long as it is below the heating element this is normal

I am sure.

SOURCE: Whirlpool dishwasher will not start

There is a small replacable part on the control panel circuit board which is like a fuse. It actually is a temperature fuse and it blows when the environment gets too hot for the circuit board. Unplug the dishwasher and take the door apart so you can see the circuit board. If you trace the power wires one of them leads to a little white module with 2 electrical tabs. Unplug the 2 wires and unsnap the module. You can check it with an ohm meter. IF its good the meter will register almost a short. f it's bad it will be open. The parts place I went to didn't even need a model number and he says he goes through a lot of them.

SOURCE: Dishwasher will not drain

Hello Tom,
Glad that you were able to find something out of place in the check valve ( like the gasket) which in turn was restricting the ball in that check valve from being in the right position. I'd be willing to bet that your problem is solved..
Regards,
Rick

This is most likely the control panel on the door. The part is about 160 dollars. If you have a technician come and do the diagnostics and part replacement you are looking at about 300.

Dishwasher not stopping

If it keeps going around then it is probably the programer timer motor unit. You will need to call Miele.
