Water drips slowly out of dispenser, ice distribution is fine.

It is behind the ice bucket, remove ice bucket and you will see it there, however, it is a continuous run type motor so the best way
to defrost it is to run it by depressing the ice dispenser lever until you free it up after removing the ice bucket, it may take up to 5 minutes to thaw it out

Water valves leak like a leaking faucet sometimes. They just will not close all the way allowing water to bypass the valve and either drip at dispenser or drip and make a mess in freezer. Your model takes a=> 2219592 Water Valve - Dual Outlet

Have your change your water filter lately?
If not try that, as it may be starting to block up a little.
Another problem could be the water inlet valve(Ice Side) situated at bottom of fridge, that could be starting to wear (Can interchange with water side inlet valve). Yes there are 2- 1 for ice and 1 for water
The Whirlpools Ice Michine set up is very easy, and runs by a mechanical system, they can be tested (Use a qualified tech).

A slow continues drip, but still dispenses O.K. is caused by the dual water valve on the bottom rear of the machine not closing completely.
Only fix is replacing the water valve assembly.

Hummm... I would suspect your DOOR SWITCH on the fridge side... $11.321 shipped... eBay!

I have a whirlpool side by side. water and ice in front. ice working and water not. the hose is not frozen and it is not humming when you push the water dispenser. It would give us water and quit but now we have nothing.

Your drain was clogged. look for the drain funnel then remove the dirt.

Has someone pressed the lock button on the front of the fridge just above the dispenser, next to the crushed & not crushed ice button, if so there is also an unlock button next to it.

Womers, make sure there is not a lock-out on the dispensor panel. If there is, hold it in for 5 seconds and see if the dispensors come alive. Because both water and ice are not working, I would think you have a dispenser board issue. Catriver..post back.
