Question about Eddie Bauer 3-In-1 with Latch

Booster seat I am trying to figure out the instructions on how to turn the Eddie Bauer seat into a booster seat. It doesn't seem as simple as taking out the harness. Do I do anything with the base? Does it stay attached? (Unfortunately my son chewed on the instructions when he was yonger...)

I am trying to figure out how to make the three in one turn into a high back booster for my daughter....I can't find the manual....

It states that at 40 lbs you convert to booster, but at 34 lbs the straps do not fit for my daughter. She is strapped in so tight it is not comfortable. Can the booster be used prior to 40 lbs safely?

Converting the seat to a booster: (Alpha Omega Elite Deluxe 2004 version, Eddie Bauer)
After all said and done, the base can probably be left on, it helps to recline the chair when the child is asleep. If you want to leave it out, the manual says the base can be removed for narrow vehicle seats or airline use. Locate the center bar at the bottom of the seat, push the tab at the end of the bar and pull the bar out. The seat can then be separated from the base. The seat has a "kickstand" that can be pulled out to sit the seat upright. Put the bar back in the base so you don't lose it.

To remove the harness, remove the base first. Then from the back of the seat, unfasten the harness from the harness bracket. Store the bracket by looping it behind and around the back spine of the shell. You can unthread the harness from that point and pull it out. From the bottom of the seat, locate the buckle's metal clip. Insert the clip up through the shell and pad, from the front pull the buckle free from the shell. Lock latch plates into buckle for safekeeping.

Once the seat is converted to adult straps don't use the latch system; hook the hooks together to keep it from swinging around, and place the top anchorage strap behind the seat with the anchor hook under the seat.

You do remove the base of the car seat by pushing out the metal bar from the base/seat. From here you can remove the harness system and buckle.

Most car seats have plastic clips around the edges that will come off. if you work around all the edges you can eventually get it off. The straps can be difficult to remove. Just pay close attention to how they came apart. Take pictures if you have to. They are a paint to put back if you don't.

Hope this helps,

I am trying to take the cover off the eddie bauer 3 in 1 to wash it. How do you get it apart from the buckle/latch that goes between their legs? It seems to be too big to go through that hole without...

Unbolt the seat from the floor of the truck... turn it upsidedown over a table or some such and the you will see the hog rings that hold the cover to the foam and bottom frame...
