If you have a google account, your good. A youtube account is a google account/gmail account. If you don't have a google account...well sign up for one! if you do not have account than go to gmail.com and sign up for new account. then you can access all this account using one sign in.
Sign up for both Youtube and gmail accounts. Once you have made a gmail account, stay signed in and use another tab to open a Youtube account. They will have you link them together. They are both owned by same company, so they can delete any account. They will not allow you to you another email other than gmail, so they can control. They can cancel both your gmail and youtube account at same time. good luck.

the youtube sign up is now shared with the google account, so creating an email at gmail will allow you to have a common account for youtube and email.
Go to www.gmail.com and then click the button to the right about creating an account.
If you already have a youtube account, your gmail might already have been created, so you can try to use it to log on to gmail.
